How did you walk your dog before March 2021?

You can delete or edit any activity in Connect or on the website.

I can’t explain what all these different apps are telling you. I suggest that you use the MFP numbers and focus on that. 🤗

Just gotta say that "bare minimum" effort and "maximum" results usually do not go together. B)

I agree with those who say to eat how you normally do for the rest of the day. Consider it a maintenance or slightly over day, then consider cutting back A LITTLE each day for a week to balance it out. Or you might have a maintenance week, it's not the end of the world. You can't fix everything in a day. PS ITs not that…

I agree with stair climbing with your pack. Be sure to have some sturdy hiking shoes than are broken in. Even ‘easier’ ADK trails can have a lot of rock scree and water running down them. Have fun and take some good black fly repellent😜

I had my gall bladder taken out in the middle of my weight loss journey. I’d lost about 60 lb and went on to lose another 80 lb. I did not have to change the types of food I ate or anything.

How much cardio have you done the past month? It’s not a good idea to go suddenly from 0 to 60.

If your doctor said your liver enzymes are high, you need to ask them what that means and if it’s of concern. I don’t think it’s uncommon for someone to have elevated liver enzymes but not of great concern as a one time reading. Your doctor might follow the trend over time, then decide whether additional testing or…

Every time you update your weight, the calories are adjusted accordingly. To use MFP as intended, you need to log your exercise separately.

How are you tracking your calories? Is your diary public so our wise friends here can look at it and share some tips?

I do not understand why people seem more concerned about unproven possible adverse effects of the vaccine (aside fro minor reaction) than they are about proven long term Effects of covid. I’m Not saying that’s you. I just don’t Understand that common argument.

So it’s pretty common for women to gain few pounds at some point during their cycle. 2lb in 3 wk it’s great! The benefit of weighing daily is to observe the natural fluctuations of your body. With 25 to lose, its best to set your MFP goal to 0.5-1 lb per week. How many calories does MGP give you for this loss rate and how…

Yes definitely!

Don't expect to return to your pre-pregnancy abilities immediately. Just build up slowly like you're a beginner and you'll get there soon enough.

Biking is hard unless you're fortunate enough to live in a VERY flat area!

I would follow an established program in terms of overall structure, but switch out the specific exercises for the equipment you have. For example if you don't have a barbell but do have dumbbells, I would swap those, or do pushups at whatever level you're at. See the thread Which Lifting Program is Best for you in the…

The Libra trend weight always lags your current actual weight.

I started at 59 and worked with a trainer. I started strength training at the same time I started my 150 lb weight loss journey. It was the perfect strategy for me.

I got the real TRX because that’s what I used in personal training. I was suspicious about how safe the cheap knockoffs would be. If you go cheap, be careful when first using it and inspect it frequently for deterioration. Safety first.

Swimming, aqua exercise, water walking etc will take the weight off the joints 🤗

Regarding calories, have you set up your stats and goals in your MFP profile? If you do that, MFP will tell you how many calories to eat. I suggest setting your goal at 1 or 1.5 lb per week. Do you do all the cooking? If so, discuss what can added on to meals that will satisfy your partner but not be extra work for you.…

I think in contests and virtual step events etc they count 3 miles biking for 1 mi walking. I have no idea the basis for it. If you’re tracking for personal activity monitoring you could do it in terms of time spent on the activity.

The Ys in our area have a Women and Weights class, well they used to before the pandemic. You might check into that or ask them what kind of support is available in the weight room. StrongLifts 5x5 is a great program.

You’ve ramped up a lot of exercise pretty quickly if you weren’t exercising at all before. Pay attention during you workouts and try to identify if any particular exercise causes more pain. Then stop doing it It could take a few to several weeks rest for it to resolve on its own if it’s just tendinitis, so give it some…

Can you explain your concern about cortisol?ive been on here for years and don’t think I’ve seen this question asked in regards to cortisol levels.

You’re really replacing those calories over a 6 week period, or whatever the allowed frequency is for your donation. So that’s less than 100 cals per week or 10-15 per day. On the other hand, if you feel better adding them Back in to ensure you’re eating enough, do it and monitor the effect on the scales. That’s what…
