What's the name of the documentary?? Edit: nvm found it. Fittest on Earth. I watched it on Amazon a few months ago and it was really excellent!

5'2 and my macros are set up (by a personal trainer) to be: 121p/55f/181c I lift 4-5x/week, attend spin class 3x/week, and run 3mi 2-3x/week
-
macros are what make up calories. 4 calories are in a gram of protein and carbohydrate and 9 calories are in a gram of fat. Your macros should literally add up to your calorie goal.

I love Old Navy stuff for affordable workout gear. I browse Poshmark often too when I want something name brand

In my anatomy class my first year of dental school, our professor told us that it's your liver "bouncing" around, hence why a large majority of side stitches are on the right side. He said the solution to this is to coordinate your exhale with a right foot strike. Exhaling tenses up your abdominal muscles more, thus…

Why couldn't you get the FitBit app for android? My mother has the Blaze and a Note and the app works perfectly fine for her
-
My In-Laws both have a FitBit One and really enjoy it
-
I'd switch to a fitness tracker that doesn't sit on your wrist. I know that FitBit has some that can clip on to your shirt or pants. If you like the FitBit brand you could look into that, otherwise I'm sure all the other fitness tracking companies have similar models that are clip ons.

Another vote for do the workouts, if you'd like. But save your money and track your eating on MFP.
-
I don't think it really matters much, because as a previous poster said when you go down in your activity level, it will just get made up by giving you more exercise calories. Personally, I'm a grad student and I put myself as sedentary because at school (aka my "job", I'm sitting down either in lecture or in a clinicians…

I read that you can go on the FitBit dashboard and log "driving" as an activity and put in what times you were driving and fitbit will remove the steps it picked up in that time. As far as the holding charge issue, contact FitBit support and they will most likely send you a replacement at no charge. They have good customer…
-
Interesting that you have the problem, my HR is always within a few beats of my Polar (with a chest strap). Have you contacted fitbit customer support? They are usually really great with sending replacements if your unit is defective.
-
I like the HR because it helps track my calories burned during non-walk/running exercises, like when I go to cycling or do the stairmaster. But if most of your cardio is walking or running, a flex could probably be sufficient
-
Log it under "circuit training" and eat back half the calories?
-
That's a little short of $150 usd, right? There are several Fitbits at or below that price point. I have a ChargeHR and it was $150usd, but they have some as low at $60 usd
-
I charge my charge HR like an above poster, during my daily shower.
-
I think the general consensus is that is depends on how you are calculating those exercise calories. If you just log in MFP or via a cardio machine, I think most eat back ~50% of exercise calories. If you're using something a little more accurate like a HRM or fitbit, those people eat ~75-100% of exercise calories. I'd…

Things like stress and UV light can bring out a cold sore/make it worse. Exercise is considered a form a stress, so that it probably causing your symptoms. You could try and do something a little less intensity, like walking for a few days until your cold sore resolves
-
Here's a blurry picture of my two. It's still pretty cold and windy here, but we love to log some miles when it warms up!

I don't know about the accuracy of Garmin compared to FitBit. What I do know, or as I should say what has been my experience it that the FitBit HR is pretty accurate during steady state cardio activities (walking, running, elliptical, etc). I've worn it at the same time as my Polar HRM and compared the heart rate during…

Working on the last 15-20 pounds (super stubborn!) I do 45 minutes of cardio 5-7x a week and lift heavy ~4x a week, eating 1500-1700 calories most days. MFP has me at 1200 calories a day, but I usually get anywhere between a 500-800 calorie adjustment from FitBit, I usually eat a majority of it back, but try and leave ~300…

JEFIT --> it's similar to Strong. You can input your own lifting program and track that, or they have premade programs you can follow based on your goals, available equipment, ect

Oh for sure, but I've never told a patient to give up their diet pop habit. But water, especially if from a fluoridated source, is the gold standard for beverages
-
Meh, we were taught my first year in dental school to BEG patients to switch from juice/sports drinks/ regular soda to diet pop. There's no sugar in it, so no carbohydrates for the bacteria to turn into acid. Sure it's a little acidic, but coupled with good saliva flow and fluoride toothpaste, the acid challenge of a diet…
-
I feel like it's pretty accurate. The heart rate of my ChargeHR was within 5 bpm compared to my Polar HR monitor when running last week.
-
http://getdrunknotfat.com/ I usually get wine and a glass of water between each glass. Not exactly super low calorie, but better than a fruity mixed drink I used to go for

I love to take come cauliflower, toss is in a little bit of "fryin magic" or flour, drizzle with buffalo sauce and bake it. It's crisp and is somewhat reminiscent of buffalo wings I, like you OP, was an extremely picky eater. I wouldn't eat any vegetables other than carrots and potatoes. It was so bad that I would refuse…

Here's my link, feel free to add me! Just got my fitbit a few days ago. I had a flex for a long time before it broke and just replaced it with a Charge HR, so I'm excited to get back into it www.fitbit.com/user/29CQ4V
