Recently bought a treadmill but it doesn't have the option of entering my wt to get a more accurate caloric burn number. So thinking about getting a fitbit hr.
Anyone use these and can vouche for the accuracy?? I know it won't be 100%but tthinking it'll be a lot more closer than the treadmill

I have one and I like it. I cross measures your heart rate, size, and movement to calculate your calories burned during the day0

I feel like it's pretty accurate. The heart rate of my ChargeHR was within 5 bpm compared to my Polar HR monitor when running last week.0

COSTCO has a good price. Sometimes goes on special.0

my fitbit HR is consistently 30bpm off from where my chest strap monitor tells me my HR is. have tried it in all sorts of spots on my wrist, high, low, duct taped to my shin, tight, loose, medium. no dice. and all kinds of activities, running, hiking, climbing, rowing, weight lifting. its always off by a significant amount and doesn't keep pace with HR spikes such as during interval training.
i trust a chest strap way more. you can get a bluetooth chest strap monitor for about $30, and there are a bunch of apps on your phone that will talk to it during your workout (such as strava)
either way your calorie burn is just an estimate, even a HR-based estimate is still probably going to be off by +/- 200cal. best to adjust calorie intake by trends in your weight.0 -
If you don't need the HR bit the FitBit One is better for step accuracy I've found (I have both)0
