  • I usually eat real foods like eggs bacon steak chicken white rice onions and other vegetables and rarely eat sugar. I always eat under 2000 calories and most of the time even less when my body will let me. I walk and try to get 10,000 steps a day but do what I can and I also lift weights 3-6 days a week.
  • You need to build good habits and be consistent. Not every meal will be perfect but being consistent with your good habits will make a bad meal feel like a speed bump rather then something to throw you off the road.
  • Very big change, you don't really look like the same person. Nice to see a positive change, keep it up your doing great!
  • Hi I came across your post and felt like reaching out to see how your progressing. I'm 5'7 and had hit a high point of about 370 but didn't kick my *kitten* into gear until about 353 pounds or so. 13 months later im at 221 pounds and ready to work on the two teens. I know the time and effort it takes to accomplish what…
  • What kind of foods are you eating? When i start having problems with appetite i will lower carbs and sugar so as not to have that spike that falls fast and triggers hunger. If needed ill eat like that for some days more along the keto way of eating and it has benefits as a eating strategy to help you regain footing then…
  • Not bad for a guy in his 40's huh? I sure don't feel my age thats for sure.
  • My son is almost two and if i didn't shed that weight I'd never catch his *kitten* lol
  • its a good place to be compared to the starting point and the little things people can do movement wise become a big deal when you can do them lol. Keep it up and feel free to add me.
  • When i started i was prediabetic with stage 2 hypertension so I began keto and used that for about 5 months. After that point everything was in check and since I started hitting the weights I started to add back in carbs. I eat pretty much everything at this point but I still avoid sugar for the most part and occasionally…
  • Thank you guys. The hardest part of the first push is getting your habits in check so we make the better choices. I've had times its fallen off and others where I wondered if I was doing something wrong. I'm staying consistent and have been hitting the weights now. In the beginning I was very low carb and since I'm hitting…
  • Funny you mentioned ability to move. Compared to how I was before its almost like gaining superpowers.
  • Thank you all for your kind words. My journey is not yet at its end but I feel I've come along way from where I started. Anyone who wants to join me feel free to friend me.
  • Here's the breakdown of my routine. Monday chest, flat bench, incline, decline 4-6 rep range. Tuesday back, lat pull downs with resistance bands since I'm still too heavy to lift my own weight, lawnmowers, back flys, bent over rows, and when my back doesn't hurt deadlifts 4-6rep range, Wednesday is rest, Thursday is…
  • Outstanding 10 months is great. How have you progressed?
  • I have those days it sucks. You know what you need to do step 1 put your hands on the dinner table in front of you. Step to push yourself away from said table. Step three stop eating crap. Sounds simple but it's not
  • I have ramped it up as of late it just shocked me how I was thinking what the hell then bam! First big goal is to break 300 pounds then go from there I'd like to be 200 can't really imagine that but it would be nice.
  • The only thing that works for me is to stay away from it all together. It's how I quit smoking, it's the only thing that works for me I can't justify the oh I'll just have a few tonight cause tomorrow could go wrong and I need to change and be healthy. Find what works for you and make it stick good luck.
  • I have been learning the fun of a slow cooker. Start with the basic question what meat? yesterday I did stew beef, beef broth, onions, cellery, mushrooms, some salt free sesoning, and tryied a brown rice lentle mix worked out very well! Just stick to real foods.
  • I cam deal with normal hunger but that overwhelming out of nowhere hunger sucks! hoping it will simmer down to a dull roar.
  • Did my first come back work out, P90X chest and back wow I hurt can't wait to get it back! My work out buddy is a former U.S Army drill instructor so I'm sure to wear myself out trying to keep up there but I will catch up! Going into things watching my knee's carefully this time, I would rather go slow than be stopped.
  • Thank you all so much for the advise and support you guys and gals are amazing! Finding a way to plan meals with correct macros. I was doing great for awhile there then my knees started to give me alot of problems. When I recovered from that I started agian slowly but life had other plans for me and my wife in the form of…
