Probably a bit of both, I've always eaten when I felt low, it stopped for a while when I was on fluoxetine and I managed to lose a fair bit of weight but it doesn't seem to have the same effect any more

No I'm hardly ever hungry, I just eat out of habit, boredom, sadness or because I think I'm hungry, I don't want the food but my brain just nags at me until the food is gone
-
Oh thank you, I didn't even think to make guacamole and that is a brilliant way to use up my left over avocado :)
-
Thank you! I may have to try this tomorrow now :)
-
I really want to try this but consuming raw egg makes me nervous. This might sound stupid but I don't know if our eggs are pasteurized, I think they come fresh from the farm so are they safe to use or should I just avoid it?

OMG this is genius... I know what I'll be eating tomorrow
-
I agree with this, you could try rinsing or soaking in cold water over night to see if that helps, I think my parents do that with gammon as it's so salty, might work for something too sugary...maybe...
-
thank you :)

the only females are the GP's, there were no female doctors at the fertility clinic. birth control seems to be the first thing they throw at us but I haven't tried that as besides pcos I don't need it and I have migraines so it wasn't the best option

Hi :) Just back to say that I can see a reduction in hair on some areas if not all that I've used it on, arms especially, I can't say for certain if all areas have as I shave them more often than my arms but I can see the patches of hairlessness on my arms and stomach already and I've been doing it every 2 weeks since I…

I don't have anything useful to say but I send love and hugs :)
-
I will look up studies then thank you :) And yeah, having babies seems to be the main thing, I'm very much disinterested towards having children so I don't want my ability to reproduce to come before my health, I've never even once been asked if it's something that I actually hope for in the future. When I was referred to…

I've never heard of these before, I looked online and I have a feeling they're specialist shop type products which I can't tend to afford
-
actually since joining this group and the low carb group I've found out a lot more, (which I must thank everyone here for being so helpful and patient about it) it's just explaining it to the doctor I'm no good at, I don't feel they'd take me all that seriously if I said my information was from online forums, I could be…
-
Thank you :) It's rather off putting to have all of these negative experiences but I might try explaining it all to my favourite doctor (she seems to pay more attention to patient records than other doctors) and see what she can do, I'm starting to guess, as completely ridiculous as it may sound, that they just don't do…

Too late to edit I'm afraid but I bet that pretty much explained all my trouble I've had with this
-
*Sorry I completely didn't think to say these are GPs not specialists
-
I'm not seeing a specialist, since I was having laser hair removal they decided there was nothing more they could do since their interest was my symptoms not my overall health and sent me back to my gp, they never tested my insulin level either
-
Ah great ideas thanks I did hate to see all that fat go to waste last time I'll use it to make some sauce I love mayo so ill try that with some different meats too, thank you :)
-
Yeah I meant not testing insulin, using blood glucose as the sole measure for insulin resistance if that was a UK thing anyone else know more about this type of test over here? I'll speak with another doctor but if she says no then that's kind of all I've got
-
Im going to ask my preferred doctor when I go for the results and explain my issue with her I wonder if it's a UK thing, a bit stupid if that's the case
-
I really don't know who to go to any more though. That was a doctor and a nurse telling me they don't test insulin, I might make an appointment with my preferred doctor for the results and explain the situation to her and see what she says Is it a UK thing or something!?
-
Thank you I'll see how it goes but keep milk to tea/coffee only rather than on its own
-
Had my blood taken, asking about my insulin level has left me feeling like a huge idiot (they got confused because I'm not diabetic) but they do not test it and instead I got told my hbac1 was 5.3 back in nov 2013 and I'm not insulin resistant based on that. but I need to watch what I eat since I'm high end of normal.

Had my blood taken. I asked about finding out my insulin levels and got told to ask at reception, reception got confused because I wasn't diabetic and sent me to the nurse who told me the same as my doctor that they don't test insulin levels, told me my hbac1 was 5.3 back in 2013 and I wasn't insulin resistant but should…

Is milk ok in small amounts for this? I was thinking 100ml limit daily, that might be a bit high. If not is there a better alternative for in tea I tried cream instead but it was awful
-
Thank you for the help :) I've got an appointment for a fasting blood glucose test on monday, I will also ask about my insulin levels, when I asked during the time I made the appointment I was told they didn't test it that way and it was just a blood glucose test but I want to know the level so I'm going to ask again…
-
I like the sound of this, I'm not a big fruit or veg fan and don't typically eat much of them anyway so it'd be pretty easy ;) I'd love to see if this helped me lose weight better and finally curb the cravings and see if it had any health benefits for myself. I don't know if I could cut out milk, I drink tea a lot, cream…

*updated starting point *18 months ago Sorry I was rushing
-
booked in for a fasting blood glucose test and will get my cholesterol tested at the same time, it's on monday, the doctor said nothing about my low carbing and seemed ok with it and agreed it's best to have an updated, starting point since my last one was 18 months ok but she said it was ok
