I was so inspired catching up on this thread yesterday that I went out and walked for 30 minutes.

Day three of no-excuses. It is supposed to get up to 50 here today. so I'm thinking bike ride. but it is supposed to hit 50 sometime this morning and then back down by afternoon. Contemplated a morning ride but a bit too cold and windy. So off to the wellness center. 10 minutes on the recumbent and 20 on the elliptical. It…

So after being in denial about regaining I decided yesterday that I was going to have a no-excuses November. So thanks to the time change I have been up earlier than usual. Sunday I went out and helped my husband in the yard before church. Monday was 31 minutes on the stationary bike and today was 30 minutes of strength…

Had to sent my sewing machine for servicing last Friday. So worked on the basement storage shelves. Some of the stuff hasn't been touched since we moved in 4 years ago. Moved everything off all the shelves so we could clean under and behind. Took a load to donate to the thrift store, another bag of fabric ready to go to…

I have an eight day streak going on the bicycle. My longest streak so far this year (and longest since breaking my ankle last year) and my goal is to ride every day in July. They completed a bike trail around a lake near me about 4 miles around the lake so was able to ride the new trail the past three days. The first day I…

I have a six day riding streak on the bicycle hopefully the streets will dry off enough tonight that I can make it 7. I was out Monday night and it started raining about halfway back. So first time caught in the rain with the new bicycle. Miss Bumble handled the wet pavement just fine although we had to clean her up when…

good idea to brush up on safety issues. I have had some close calls. Don't assume that the car coming up to a stop sign is going to stop even if you have the right away. Congrats on your new bike and happy trails.

Getting back into the groove of cycling. Between May 2016 and July 2018 I biked 7500 miles. I fell and broke my ankle on August 1st last year and was off the bike until January when I was able to get three rides in during a brief warm spell we had. The rest of the winter was not compatible with riding so didn't get any…

Went to a church potluck went through the line once making good choices and then a very small dessert and then threw the plate away and didn't return for more. Small progress after a week of making not so great choices. Also out on the bike two days in a row. Wind was a bit of a challenge and was out of breathe most of…

Great Job. thanks for posting

A friend's blog was talking about using a one minute rule. Will it take one minute to hang up/put away and item vs laying down where it doesn't belong. If so then put it away. I have been thinking about this and trying to do this whenever possible. Also when done with a sewing project I am making it a practice to…

I put my lunch/snacks in my storage drawer and not right at my desk and it cuts down on the mindless snacking.

back at it. 1st bike ride yesterday since August first when I fell and broke my ankle. 10 plus miles yesterday. Loving the 50 degree weather we are having in Iowa this week. Today I packed up the Christmas tree and decorations. Rode 6 miles climbed the Cordova tower (over 100 feet tall) and walked around Pella then walked…

I am determined that Number on scale on 1-1-2019 will be the highest number I will see this year. Plan is in place. Lunches prepped for the week consisting of salad and veggies/fruit. 1st workout of the year done.
-
made it to the gym today. 30 minutes on bike and 6 on rower.
-
You should be able to go from 62.51 to 100. My best before I did the Century ride was 57 miles. I have been off the bike since breaking my ankle this summer. Heading to the gym this morning hopefully can get back on the bike sometime before the weather is too cold.

he has his own way of doing them sorts them into good bags and bad but all still end up with them on the floor in the corner of the kitchen. Love him anyway

Cleaned out a closet on Friday. One bag to donate. Added hooks to hang my bike helmets and organized the other bike accessories into a bin. Also hung organizers for plastic grocery bags but not sure my husband will use them but I will. Even had room for the Vacuum cleaner when I finished.

I kept some summer clothes for next year as my size hasn't changed much this year but am determined to get back to losing so by next summer they won't fit.
-
I swapped out my clothes on Sunday getting ready for colder weather. I try to always put clean clothes in at one end of the closet so was able to identify those that I had not worn this summer so now have a bag of clothes to donate and some mismatched socks to get rid of.

I have been stalled on the weight loss and decluttering after breaking an ankle this summer but am slowing getting back to both. I was able to walk away from an afternoon cookie yesterday and finally got back on the scale today and logged the number as I don't want to stay in denial any longer. Been working on my fabric…

This is a good but a bit annoying problem when you are between sizes and especially when between Womens/Misses department. I have been unable to find dresses for quite some time. anyone have suggestions.

I fell at home on August 1st and broke my ankle. First broken bone ever. Been missing being able to get out on the bike. Went to wellness center today and did some upper body strength training. Not long but I am counting it as a victory. Counting down to September 14th to be able to retire the boot. Also was able to stop…

I have an hill on my route I usually avoid and go another way. Tuesday night I decided to try again as it is the shorter route. While I didn't make it up I did make it farther before having to stop and push than I have before. So inch by inch I am making progress

Lost 55 about 45 to go. Sometimes small changes can help. I keep my food for the day in a cabinet not right at my desk so I make a choice when I eat. Before I did this my food for all day would be gone sometimes by mid-morning.

so its time to fess up that I went back over and get back on the chase. 7 pounds to go.

Fancy Gourmet Cupcakes in the Kitchenette at work for several days now and have been able to walk by them numerous times without even considering eating one.
