This is all really interesting stuff, thanks for getting so involved everyone! Just one quick question, would you say the DEXA scan is worth the money? (basing it on £250 for the scan)

I agree. This would purely be for personal interest. Within my swimming squad they conduct skin fold testing. Although it may be free, I do not accept the results. It doesn't represent body fat percentage well due to subjectivity of who takes the measurements, the tool used etc.

Thanks for all your help and suggestions! All sound like vitamin supplements are worth a try so will pick myself a multivitamin up. Just to clarify - I don't personally have kids, I just work with them.

Thanks :) will try and get some of your suggestions implemented into my daily routine. Will do anything to keep healthy, to keep me in the water and racing!

I don't take a multivitamin so will look into that. Thanks :)

I've got a couple of tips that may help you start to lose the weight, and it doesn't take much money of effort at all :) 1) Before you go to bed at night make a simple water drink. 1 lemon, half a cucumber and a handful of mint leaves. Then fill your bottle with water and leave it in the fridge over night. Half a bottle of…

Great idea! Nothing like taking a journey with others whom are similar minded and on the same path :)
