Your profile says you want to be healthy for your child. The reason any prescription medicine requires a prescription is because it is dangerous and has potentially bad side effects. I suggest you toss the pills and do it the old fashioned way. Artificially suppressing your appetite only works as long as you continue…

I always eat at my location. I have never eaten where I was not located. :)

Sliced and fried with a little unrefined coconut oil. Sweet potato home fries!

Not worth having for me, but what do I know, they are selling millions of them. I betcha 50% of the fitness trackers purchased last December end up tossed in a drawer and forgotten by July. They are a hot fad but certainly not necessary.

I've always just done a rough estimate on salad since it is so low in calories. The big calories are in the dressing.

I changed it to tracking fiber instead of sugar. The goal is really for added sugars, not the natural sugars in fruit but it doesn't differentiate.
-
I'm confused about some of the things you are saying and so are some other people. It is much easier if we can see what you are eating and burning when asking for help if you make your diary public.

Me too, it doesn't make sense. jasonmears75, MFP gives you a calorie goal that you should CONSUME each day. The calorie goal MFP provides already is giving you a deficit. Any additional calories you burn by dedicated exercise should also be eaten.

Protein is to build muscle. You lose fat by reducing calorie consumption.

Congrats, keep it up!

Multiply .3 times the total weight times the miles for your calorie burn. ex; .3 X (239+25) = 79.2 X 3 miles = 237.6 calories

Just the other day someone was on this forum complaining that losing weight caused their wrinkles to be more visible.

I used to eat most anything and everything. My outbreaks were more frequent and more severe than they are now that I am more conscience of my diet. I haven't made any extreme dietary changes, just less processed food, more whole foods. I have become very cautious about avoiding artificial sweeteners, preservatives, and…

I eat and enjoy myself. I hate the term "cheat". I do NOT CHEAT but I do occasionally go over my calorie goal. So what, life is a marathon, not a sprint.

Fast food is not the best choice for optimum health but you can lose weight eating fast food.
-
Please show me where I said it was a "bad idea". While you're at it, maybe you could find where I said it was "not beneficial".

A tad more info is needed. I flunked out of mind reader school. :)
-
At the least - not necessary. At the worst - a scam and potentially dangerous. Either way it is a waste of time and money.

You have a much higher regard for the masses than I do. What you say may be true within the confines of the people posting on a health and fitness forum but not the general public. The general public are the ones that buy diet books, DVDs, cleanses, magic pills, and other products in search of magic. I would wager that 50%…

A magic panacea for weight loss and fitness.

Exercise (lifting) causes micro tears in the muscle fibers, rest days allow the muscles to heal. Because of this you actually gain strength on your rest days, not your exercise days. Know what they call a person who doesn't take an adequate number of rest days? . . . . . . . . . Injured.

If it freezes the vitreous fluid in your eyeballs, it MIGHT be too cold. The coldest I recall running was -6F with a -40F windchill. I was dressed appropriately and actually turned my short run into a long run because it felt great. Cold weather tip; rub petroleum jelly (Vaseline?) on all exposed skin before venturing out.

Some days I do, some days I don't, and some days I eat them all plus more. Why?
-
You are probably one of the few people that realize these "fitness trackers" are just a high tech pedometer.

Fruit has the sugars (carbs) together with all the other nutrients and fiber that work together for a healthy diet. The problem with many processed high sugar foods is that they are almost all sugar (carbs) with minimal fiber and nutrition.

A layer of fat under your skin does make you look more youthful because it plumps the skin and reduces wrinkles. I'd rather be thin and wrinkled than fat.
-
If it helps you on your journey that is a good thing. However, Fitbit ESTIMATES your burn, it doesn't SHOW your burn.
-
Pick your feet up higher.
-
Why should that be embarrassing? The person that helped you was new at one time and someone showed him/her.

Sounds tasty but has nothing to do with losing fat.
