It does help. I use to work out in the evening. Unfortunately, I found I had difficulty sleeping afterwards. I want to exercise in the morning to get it out of the way. I just wish I didn't feel so tired though.

Thanks. I think I do have to mix up my exercise regimen as you said. I was so eager to lose weight that I thought high intensity exercises was the best route to go. Unfortunately, it affected my body to the point that I mentally and physically couldn't do it. I took two days off from exercising. When I resume it again, I'm…

I was taking one rest day per week, but now I take two rest days. I didn't use to exercise prior to my current routine. I initially started low impact cardio, but then starting do high intensity workouts.

Thanks. I meant high intensity.

Thank you all for your responses. I found a good weight lifting video on utube and have been using it. I must say that I felt great lifting weights. I started off slowly to make sure my form was correct. However, some of the moves were simple although I'm somewhat sore. I'm aiming to do some sort of resistance training…

Thanks! I found some YouTube videos for weight lifting that looks great.

Thank again! I'm going to try lifting weights again. I've found a couple of weight lifting videos geared towards beginners. 😀 Some of the posts here have peaked my interest in yoga. I've read that certain types of yoga can be strenuous and help build muscles. Im definitely going to look into this as well.

Thanks for the responses. I know working on my form is key. Unfortunately, I can't afford a personal trainer. I try to follow strength training videos, but I still don't think I use the correct form with some of the moves. I really want to start doing weight resistance. I'm really love cardio, but it does not tone me.

Thanks for your response. I eat lots of vegetables and don't really calorie count since vegetables are low calories. I also do HIIT exercises and started lifting weights. I had one or two cheat days recently, but I don't think that would impact my weight loss overall.

Thanks for all your replies.

Thanks. I personally enjoy doing cardio to weightlifting as I get more of a rush; like you, I find cardio does more for my mood than weight lifting. I just get confuse on how much cardio or weightlifting I should do as different weight loss articles say different things.

Thank you both for responding. I need to get a handle on my eating habits as well. I do a lot of emotional eating which I'm trying to stop :( Reading both your posts make me realize that I should focus more on my diet than exercise. Thanks again!

Thank you

Thanks for sharing your story. You're absolutely right; I should view it more like a job instead of waiting to get motivated. Motivation can only go so far. Congratulations on your weight loss. quote="SpecialKH;34332276"]Have you talked with your doctor? Do you have a sense of defeat or not caring about other areas of your…

Thank you for sharing that post. I really needed to see that.

A few years ago I was diagnosed with clinical depression. I feel it has come back despite taking meds, and my therapist thinks it's contributing to my lack of 'motivation' or 'willpower'. Oddly enough he strongly believe that exercise will help with my depression although I was thinking about it in terms of weight lose.

Im on my third day and am also taking it slow. I find myself taking a lot of breaks. I'm just hoping that I will improve during second week. Good luck on your Insanity journey.
-
I hope that my knees and joint get stronger as well. Congratulations on getting through month one.
-
Totally agree. It's just that Insanity has been the only workout that helped me to lose weight fast. This time around I'm modifying alot of the exercises and paying cloae attention to my form and body.

Hi. It's great you're starting a healthy lifestyle. I hope your getting help for your Anorexia. Anyway, I've found a couple of good calorie friendly recipes on utube, believe it or not. Your best bet is too start there. Good luck.

I don't count calories either. Truth by told, I just can't bother. I just right to eat in moderation.
-
Thanks for the responses. Well, it looks like Insanity is out of the question for now. I started to experience pain when I did it, aend a nurse advised me to hold off on it. This really sucks. I guess I'll try power walking to try and shed these pounds.

Thanks everyone!!

Thanks. I think Im going to try PX90.

Im out of breath and get dizzy when doing the pushup which requires you to come back up again and then go back and do another pushup.

I find it funnier that you think a certain form of exercise can't be boring. "Staring at a scene for 5 hours a night sitting on a couch". Er....no. Actually, I don't watch t.v. and was jogging prior to insanity. So before you start posting obnoxious replies, considering this, not everyone is going to find certain forms of…

I'm going to try and stick it out. I guess I'll feel bad if I don't follow it through. Who knows...maybe I'll like it.
