Cooking from scratch is almost always less expensive. Soups, stews, spaghetti sauces...there are so many options! Work with what is in season and what you find on sale. When cooking on a budget, a crock pot will be one of your best friends!

I have a vitamix and its the best investment i ever made! Itll pulverize the foid into juice! My favorite is making soups in it. Itll boil it right in the blender. Made spinach cream soup today, and tomato soup is one of my favorites. They are pricey but i use mine every day and ill never be without one!

Im the cook in the family. Its really not that difficult. I make their meal and have a salad or something for myself. Sometimes ill eat some of what i made for them, just in much smaller portions.

I look at it more as replacing what ive lost. Just make sure what you are eating is nutrient dense and a good source of protein!

Ive never heard it referred to as such, however I did a similar thing to eliminate foods that were negatively impacting me. Find the source of the problem and eliminate it. Your body is telling you that it doesnt like what your giving it. It may only be one ingredient that sets you off. Narrow it down and listen to your bodys cues.

I plan out all my snacks for the day. I choose low cal choices so i can eat ALL DAY! Sometimes by the end of the day I have something left over that i can remove from my diary!

My cheese blintzes (egg whites, cottage cheese...). Are my favorite "diet" food of all time! Also, a new discovery yesterday....angel food cupcakes with chocolate frosting! 57 calories each, 2 grams of protein and only 3 of sugar! Mmmmmmmm

I run into the same issue. i stay away from refined sugars and processed food most of the time but i find that any breads (even if i make them myself) or pastas in particular stiffle my weightloss.
