  • Dear djmdjw I am so sorry you are struggling. I feel your pain. I had thyroid disease and eventually had it destoyed with radiation and am now on medication. It is very, very important to get your meds in check. Be proactive with this. Take as much time and ask as many questions of your docs until you have a better…
  • Thanks melly0405!
  • Yes I get plenty of fruits and veggies, pretty much mainstay of what I eat in additon to the protein. I stay away from rice, pasta, bread potatoes; except for every once in a while some pasta which I can't give up alltogether! Good to Go! Thanks everyone!
  • MIne not dry at all....hmmm. Maybe yours were on the shelf too long at the store?
  • Thanks! I think I may have in the past but will look into trying them again.
  • 530roman just the two of us. It's kind of a pricey place so with cocktails we will use the whole thing and them some! Good suggestions about planning ahead and looking at menu beforehand. And yes carslonrobb, I will be sure to tip appropirately!

  • mrsmalloryevers you can do it! Just eat in moderation and when you go to the pizza place have one slice of plain cheese pizza and ask for a side salad with oil and vinegar dressing (if salad is on the menu!) Drink alot of water before you go and while you are there. Try brining your own meal to mom in law's on the week…
  • Just had dinner, stuck to the plan. I need to get serious about getting healty b/c I am on meds for high BP and high cholesterol and I want to get off. I have tried and failed so many times before that I really, really need to try and stick to the plan so I think the week end went well. In a few weeks I will try and…
  • Mid day of the last day of the week end and I must say I have been doing very well. Planned out all my meals and faithfully filled out my food journal. No deviations! :)
  • Update! Just went to MacDonald's with husband and grandkids! Had a salad w/grilled chicken and basalmic vinegrette dressing for 270 calories! I am very pleased with myself right now and enjoying a medium non fat decaff latte for 80 calories. Fingers crossed for the rest of the week end! :D
  • Thanks for the info ninerbuff. I am running a mile a day and need to add some strength training. I am doing it like you said to help with consistancy with my exercise! To tell you the truth I am not sure what I want to achieve/will achieve witht the challenge, I just want to see if I can do it and stick with it! :)
  • It is awesome! The recipe makes a vey big batch. Both my husband and I are eating it so it lasts about a week staying fresh. I eat at least one cup a day hoping not to get sick of it too soon! BTW only 71 calories in a one cup serving.
  • I would rather use my calories on food than alchol a cocktail b/c I just started my new healthy lifestyle plan and need it to jump start. That being said I plan on having a cocktail when there is an occassion to have one (like my birthday approaching in a few days). Perhaps you should give yourself permission to have a…
