  • Like others have said, download the app. It will help with the deloading. If you can't complete a set at that day's weight, the app will tell you what to use the next time.
  • ^^^^^ This is perfect and will get you there.
  • I haven't had it but know a few people who have. They have all said it worked very well. Though, they also said it's very uncomfortable. None of them regretted it.
  • Wow. That sounds cool. If I were dreaming I would love something that shows run cadence. Also, that tracks steps/distance on the elipitcal trainer.
  • I've found the best way to train is by using a heart rate monitor. There are a ton of training methods out there but I've found the Maffetone Method works very well for new runners. You run at a certain heart rate and over time as your fitness improves you run faster at a low heart rate. If you follow the method you are…
  • Congrats on your success. I have been doing pretty much the same thing since January. I had the front sag too and it was the last part to go. I would say keep on doing what your doing. You don't start using muscle for energy unless you're at a serious calorie deficit or doing very high intensity exercise and have used all…
  • I've seen a lot about it and am starting this week.

  • If you are at a high deficit and doing intentse cardio you're body will not react well. You are correct that it's probably overly stressed. When that happens it goes into "survival" mode and tries to hold on to every calorie. There are other things going on inside your body that makes the "calorie deficit weight loss…
  • Why can't you?? LOL That's why I took up trail running. :-)

  • I've run in snow storms instead of on the treadmill. I just can't take it.
  • Congrats on the progress. I wouldn't get to caught up in the numbers. If you're measuring on the same machine all that I would be concerned about is that the number is going down. Sure your actual body fat percentage may be a little different however the way this machine is measuring shows a 7% BF loss which is awesome. As…
  • Looking at your logs you are very carb heavy with your calories. This causing havoc with your blood sugar and insulin levels. That's why you feel hungry. Your blood sugar spikes and then goes down. My advice would be to reduce the carb intake and replace with healthy fats and protein. I did the exact same thing at the…
  • If you're new to working out you can do a whole routine with just bodyweight exercises. You could start with pushups, squats, planks and burpees. They all have modifications for newbies. I read recently that doing "wall" pushups has a better effect than doing "girl" pushups on your knees. No need to run if you can get your…
  • I've been using it for a couple of years and really enjoy it. I've done the Total Bodyweight program. At this point I usually just pick a workout. There's a great variety there.
  • My fitbit is synced with MFP. It tracks calories burned (along with steps and active minutes) and MFP gives me extra calories in my daily total if fitbit sends over a higher calorie burn total. I also use Map My Run when I run and walk which also syncs with MFP and calculates calories burned. If you are outside you don't…
  • Started logging at the beginning of the year and have lost 20 pounds. Need some motivation to keep going. Great idea!!!
