This is the only way to really get herd immunity and convinced people to get vaccinated. Don't you think :D ?

@jenilla1 I sent notes in the past to these organizations asking NOT to send me anymore labels, but I think that nobody read them or care. I threw away labels and seals for the last Olympic games (oh boy!). I also keep the best ones, and I give some of the note pads to my daughters in law as long as they don't' have my…

I made some organizing progress last weekend too. It felt good even if it was small (but time consuming). Yeah me! I finally, organized and de-clutter two of the drawers in the office furniture. I threw away things that I didn't even know I had (not needed either), some stationary related items are going to the donation…

I went to Walgreens yesterday afternoon to pick a prescription and other things. The store is never crowded and masks are not required for vaccinated people (I am), but they are required for non-vaccinated folks. All employees are required to wear a mask. I kept mine under my nose, and sometimes under my mouth when I was…

Amen to that! I am still sad for the two people that died and the family that they left behind. I hope that the other four infected people get well soon and without lingering side effects.

A coronavirus outbreak hit a Florida government building. Two people are dead but a vaccinated employee wasn't infected "The clinical presentation gives me concern that we're dealing with a very infectious variant that is quite deadly," Hopes told Burnett. "Clearly masks work, but the vaccine is more important at this…

I don't have long term house guest too often (especially now...), but when I do, they adapt to my schedule, for the most part, and not the other way around. I don't buy things that are not part of my diet (as a way of eating), but they are welcome to buy/bring their own choices, and take them back when they leave. I may…

It seems to be a new kid in the block, so don't throw away your masks yet or get too comfy... Delta variant will likely become dominant Covid-19 strain in US, CDC chief says "The Delta variant of Covid-19 is expected to become the dominant strain in the United States, and it's further reason why people need to ramp up the…

@bulletproof40 Good and best of luck to you. I hope that you are also on blood thinners (Eliquis, Xarelto or Cuomadin/Warfarin, etc...), because being in Afib, and unless you had an atrial ablation, your chances of recurring blood clots are high. Follow doctors directions and take care of your diet and you will be OK.

The OP hasn't been active since December 2018!!! Sloooowwwww day in MFP :D

I prefer NOT to get exposed. I trust science, I just have a problem these days trusting people... I am fully vaccinated since the end of February, but I don't know if people around me are fully vaccinated too or just faking it so they don't have to wear masks. Better safe than sorry, and being careful doesn't affect…

The problem is that the delta variant is very infectious and one dose of any vaccine only offers about 30% protection, according to my readings. The only way to have more protection is to have both vaccines. Delta Variant and COVID-19 Vaccines: What to Know…

Morgan Stanley CEO to NYC workers: Be back in the office by September or else (https://www.cnn.com/2021/06/16/investing/morgan-stanley-ceo-return-to-office/index.html) "If you can go to a restaurant in New York City, you can come into the office. And we want you in the office," Gorman said. It seems that not everybody is…

California open up today. No more masks if you are fully vaccinated, restaurants and public venues like theaters, sports events, gyms, etc, open in full force. Health facilities like labs, clinics and hospitals are still requiring masks. I have mixed feelings about this "opening,"because we are supposed to rely in the…

I don't log those kind activities. I just enjoy them and consider them a plus to increase my NEAT, and not a justification to eat more. Honestly, you probably didn't burn as many calories as you think. Glad that you and your family had fun.

I think that a Zoll is vest defibrillator. It would probably jolt you if you have another heart attack attack and put your heart back in sinus rhythms. But I don't know or think that it would be as precise as an actual defibrillator implanted in your chest cavity. I think that is a good idea to seek a good cardiologist and…

Mike, do you think that you had a mild case of COVID due to eating inside a restaurant? How crowded was the place, and what about ventilation? I live in the southern CA desert and our temps are getting very high already. We had between 105F to 109F last week, including the weekend, and the same for this coming weekend. My…

Looks good and interesting, but can you write some directions on how to mix the ingredients and prepare this dish, please :) ?

I just saw this article on line. I really hope that parents start paying attention to this possible outbreak within the teen population and help them schedule their vaccination. Even if the youngsters don't get too sick, and based on reports from COVID survivors, they may have lingering side effects too regardless of their…

NO!!!! I am fully vaccinated but I am planning to stay away from very crowded places for awhile. Actually, and if it was for me, for ever. The exception will be a plane ride to Hawaii :) . Besides, and living in California, I have been in Vegas so many time that it doesn't appeal to me that much anymore. @ 33gail33 With…

If they are in the shell and you just want to warm them up, "blanch" them in a pot of hot water for few minutes, peel them and enjoy them. Some information from you for Seapoint Farms shelled edamame. Protein 10g There are 100 calories in 1/2 cup (75 g) of Seapoint Farms Frozen Edamame - Shelled Soybeans. Calorie…

@MikePfirrman Sorry that you had to deal with this problem Mike, and congrats for keeping your cool as much as possible while being assertive. You were a better person than me (and I am an old petite lady). I, and probably the jerk too, would have been in the local news reported from the hospital or local jail. And I think…

Maybe she is not vaccinated or can't be vaccinated. Maybe she has allergies and wants more protection, or she has a cold. Or maybe she is like me and prefer to hide her wrinkles... :p

I never had a fitness tracker; I don't care for gadgets and I don't want to get hooked to one. The only thing that I use when I go for a walk is the MapmyWalk app in my cell phone, just to know how many miles I walked, duration, and speed. Burned calories are not important either because I don't log them or eat them back.…

My youngest grandchildren are 11 and 13 and they live in a state where parental consent is needed to get the COVID vaccine. Even if they could get it without their parents’ approval, I know that they wouldn't do that and my son and his wife would not be happy about it if they did. Besides, the closest Walgreens is about 7…

@SuzySunshine99 Twelve years old kids cannot drive themselves to get vaccinated, neither can 13, 14, 15 and probably 16 years old either. And for what I was reading, kids under 16 need parental authorization to get the shots. Many parents don't believe in vaccination for themselves or their kids, so regardless of the…

Low desert area in southern California here, and masks are everywhere. The county is still in orange although infections are the lowest since last summer, and people are moving around more. I got a mani and pedi today and everybody were still wearing masks (all vaccinated at the salon), and the plexiglass partitions were…

Considering this posting from the FDA, I think that wearing masks a bit longer is worthy. At leas it is for me and my husband. Don't rely on antibody tests to determine if you're immune to Covid-19, FDA warns The US Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday issued a “safety communication” to remind Americans that…

Same here too. I use Golden Laden chicken bone broth (Costco) a lot, but when I make my own, I log that commercial brand. No need to make my life more busy and complicated than already is. If in doubt about the calories, just skip the cookies that day and you will break even. Disclaimer: I don't like/eat cookies ;)
