I understand this one. I was also diagnosed a little over 2 years ago, and was quite the gym rat before and during the first year or so after being diagnosed. I even taught spin classes and was gaining weight! It is INCREDIBLY depressing; I felt fabulous before it all happened and then WHAMMO! Hellooo, extra 10…

I'm a big fan of the laughing cow light cheese wedges with celery sticks or cucumber. Granted, you'll need to eat it in the morningish if you want it to stay cold, but I love these!

Agreed on cooking. I was going to ask what kind of oats are you using, and how are you making it? Stovetop or overnight are gads better, and using steel cut or scottish yields a nice texture. I cook mine with almond milk and always add in different spices (ginger, cinnamon, vanilla, etc) while it cooks. Top with fav fruits…

I feel ya. Am also 5'4", and moved to London and chubbed out! I also had a miscarriage earlier this year, and gained a lot during the pregnancy and after as I drowned my sorrows in ice cream (not a good idea). I got up to 165 pounds, and have just joined and lost 2 so far. Woo. Am most comfortable at 125, though my short…

Tinned tuna is not quite so strong as a sardine, but same concept! Low fat string cheese or other low fat cheese or greek yogurt also are pretty good if you don't go crazy!

Some things are, and I don't see quite so much fast food consumption here as it isn't as convenient in London anyhow. But overall there are just as many bad habits here as in the US, they are just slightly different. :)

I am American but live in London (since January). I just went to Scotland for the first time! I think Pret is the best thing ever for my diet and convenience food. :)

Senna tablets or tea.

Hey! I am in very much the same situation, about same weight and goals! Just starting after a miscarriage post first trimester, and feeling fat and awful. I am at 165 pounds, heavier than O have ever been. I am happiest at about 120-125 and am 5'4". Would love some mom support! I have a 6yo. :)

Thanks, Lisa. I'm finding that too. It took a lot to get better physically, and the mental really took a hit while I was recovering--that takes longer. Being kind to myself is difficult, because I feel like such a moron for gaining 10 pounds when I was already a bit heavy for my body. And it is taking SO LONG to get it to…

Hey there, I was just searching on the topic of miscarriage and found this. I had a fairly traumatic miscarriage in mid-May at 13 weeks, which took several medical procedures to get past. I was a bit heavier than I should have been at the outset, 5'4" and started at about 155, which is about 25 pounds heavier than I like…

Yep! What are you looking for?

Chia seed pudding/porridge is great and super filling. Overnight oats are the same. I eat these for lunch a lot. Top with dried fruit and nuts, whatever you want. Whole food bars (think Naked bars and the like), muesli and yogurt, and even things like dried/cured meat, olives, veggies, cheese. Good luck!

Wow. What is a typical day like for you? I don't eat bread or grain, but fruit always gets me in carbs!

What is the program you're doing? Sounds interesting!

I'm also super hungry this week. Eating more eggs and nuts, but isn't quite doing it

It can be SO DISCOURAGING though! I started Cross fit recently to really push to get the last 4-6 kg off. I feel puffy, sore, and humongous! Super sore and took a rest day yesterday, scale is 3 kg higher today than Monday. AAAARGH!

I just started X fit, and struggling with the weight, nutrition and macros as well. I keep gaining weight! Staying pretty close to 1500 call per day, around 50% from fat. Arrgh!

Doh, hit enter too quickly! I'm pretty fit and love to workout (honest!), but my thyroid started acting up last year and I went from 58 to 63ish. I can't seem to shake it no matter how much I exercise. So, focusing on diet now and hoping to get back down. Would love to be 56-58 kg depending on how much muscle I have. I'm…
