Magnesium supplement. That might help and it won't hurt.
Check your fiber. Women need 25 mg daily. Men need 35 mg daily.
Check your insoluble fiber. You need some. If all you have is soluble fiber, that will gum up the works.
The insoluble stuff moves things along.
Drink some water. Drink some more water. Get 64 oz/2qt/2l per day.
Got fat? Have some in your diet.

That depends on why you're constipated. It could be lack of fiber. It could be too much fiber. It could be lack of dietary fat. It could be lack of particular minerals. etc.

    Senna tablets or tea.

Only take laxatives if it is very, very bad. Overusing laxatives can cause major problems

It depends on how long you have been constipated, and if anything is getting through. If it has been more than a few days, you are in pain, nothing is getting through, and you vomit what you eat, you need medical care. You could have a blockage.

If it is a day or two you can ride it out. Besides the suggestions above you could try popcorn for bulk and a tablespoon of oil (maybe in a nice salad dressing) to lube things up. I have always found vigorous exercise to be helpful.

I have used Senokot overnight on occasion.
