Two questions - where does he live and is he single?

I’ve done all kinds of activity over the years (especially when losing weight) so I’m not new to exercise but age does have its effects, especially after periods of inactivity. My latest is Orangetheory- I started in August a month before I turned 60. The majority of “kids” in the classes probably under 35. I just do what…

I could be wrong but I don’t think one lipo procedure can take out 5 lbs of fat - that’s a pretty big volume of fat.

I just use my Fitbit reading. That way it’s an adjustment in top of my NEAT instead of the full calories calculated in their system.

Fruit and vegetables are not healthy? Crap, I guess those 98 lbs I lost eating those and other carbs needed for energy have left me unhealthy.

My employer (Kroger) just ended the health screenings this year. Instead of $100 each for passing the 4 metrics, everyone gets $200 and then you get another $100 as long as you go to one wellness appt next year. My guess is that the cost of administering this for 450,000 employees (not sure what % were eligible) wasn’t…

Yeah I’m not too concerned - I’ve done a good amount of weight bearing excercise over the years (including hauling around an extra 100+ lbs) and my mom is 82 and she’s pretty good in that regard too.

Please let us know how it goes!

She still wants me to do the bone density test to be sure everything’s good - you know 60 and everything
-
Yep - pretty much. The only exception might be alcohol. If I had started out on such a restrictive diet, (like the other times I lost weight put gained in back within a year) I never would have made it as far as I have or been able to maintain my loss so far.

Yeah - I sneaked in with a 29.3 post-cruise BMI at the doctors office - clothes weight and all - so the 1/2” helped there at least!
-
Never mind - can’t enter half inches lol
-
Good news - I haven’t shrunk, in fact, they measured me at 5’ 5 1/2”! I’m updating my profile now!

And after a week or 2, chances are you’ll have an epic binge! How about instead of that extremely limited diet, eat foods you like, weigh and log (not just log), stay in your deficit and you will lose weight - kind of how I lost 98 lbs eating bread, potatoes, rice, pasta, cereal and sugar along with many other foods.

I think you just inspired me to attempt a dry October!

After considering it for about 1 minute 5 years ago, I realized that with or without surgery, I’d have to change the way I eat forever so I might as well do that without permanently altering my digestive system. It took another year or so for everything to finally click, but I’ve lost 98 lbs in 3 1/2 years and am still…

Pilates and stretching do not build muscle unfortunately.
-
I have my physical Tuesday - I’m going to have them measure me. Maybe I’m not 5’5” any more since I turned 60? That would suck!

I blame Marie Osmond’a NutriSystem commercials

Looks like my house

What is toning time? If you mean starting to incorporate weight training into your exercise, why wait?
-
My first Infinity was last night - 32 points! Oh and I don’t do burpees - ever!

Try Orangetheory- that way you get your cardio fix with some weight training thrown in. Although the weights portion isn’t the same as a true progressive lifting plan, it’s a good start to see if you would like to start lifting.
