Cheese and cookies and cake.

Be sure you are eating high fiber & high protein foods. Also, take your body measurements. If you are losing fat but gaining muscle, it will show in your measurements, not the scale. How do your clothes feel?

I don't have any major issues to settle with anyone, but it is a good reminder to not go to bed tonight with anything unresolved. And, at the very least, tell those around you that you love them and appreciate all they do for you.

Already downed 48 ounces of water. I couldn't eat breakfast until 9:30 a.m. because of a wellness check. I'll have to remember Water Wednesday!

True - I have never rock climbed. - - I have never gone snorkelling.

Congratulations!!

I could do 24 hours from now, but I've already had some today. I do love the carbonated flavored waters, too.

Good challenge. I needed the reminder of what is good about me. B)

Is that healthy, @sxcbut? I mean, that's great, but it really isn't sustainable as you are not developing healthy habits, not to mention the nutritional deficiencies your body will experience.

We are here for you, @Rosebud605. I feel the same way.

I, too, am a Weight Watcher. (Although for the past several years I have watched my weight go UP.) I like the once a week weigh-in. Then it is not a daily obsession and you can see progress easier. Pick one day and have everyone post the amount they are down. We can talk each other through the plateaus and get down by July…

I think it is tougher when you are at the age where you have been there and done that. It is hard to care anymore what anyone thinks, let alone yourself. I struggle daily with "Why do I bother?" I cared in my 20's and 30's.

I always swore I would move away when I grew up. I got as far as across the river to Iowa. About 20 minutes from my birthplace. :p

I, too, opt for skirts whenever I can, especially when buying suits. All my weight is in my middle and trying to find pants to fit the round part is hard enough. I have found that "Stitch Witchery" is great for quick no-sew hemming. And, I have hacked off feet and feet of fabric to get the right length.

What a great group! I am nearly 41 and need to GET RID OF 30 pounds. I don't want to lose weight. Lost things get found. I miss my electric blue suit. Can't believe how fast I outgrew it.

Welcome, Q! May I first say how much I admire what you are doing? I'm sure you are tired a lot and just grab what is handy to eat. My best tip is to do your planning on Sunday. Buy in bulk and separate snacks and portions into Ziploc bags or containers ahead of time. That way, you can grab the number of calories you need…

@H3809: Try eating more calories. I know it sounds counterproductive, but your body is getting used to taking in less calories, so it will burn less calories. You have to keep your metabolism up by eating your goal every day. Try kicking in a few more calories for a day or two and then scaling back for a day or two.

Our whole family are Whovians. My son went as the 4th doctor for Halloween this year. Our daughter (a red head) as Amy Pond. She is also making a Tardis Valentine box for her school party on Friday! I'd say the best Whovian motivation is the outrageous amounts of running!

I always enjoyed a living room dance party. 20 minutes of that is as good as any other cardio workout.
-
I love Ravelry. I get lost in there.
-
I like to go home and sit in my lazy boy and knit.

I am 5'3" and wanting to get from 165 to 135. I'll see about smaller after that. I have learned, over many, many tries, @mrsieve that babysteps are the way to go. At the moment, I am focusing on getting back to tracking food and getting rid of my first 10 pounds. I'd be happy to be anyone's friend, as I'm building a friend…

What a great idea!
-
Cookies and nachos. Get me every time.
-
I could use a buddy, too. I am on day 3.
-
You can add me. I have at least 30 pounds to lose. Going to do it this time. I miss my blue suit.
-
Oh, I fit right in to this group. Day 3 of tracking. Love to have friends in the same situation. We can do this together.
-
@lauren_frederick I am 5'3" and 165 pounds. My stomach hasn't been this big since I was pregnant. I, too am getting started-again- on losing at least 30 pounds. All the previous suggestions are good ones. Take it one day at a time and only weigh yourself once a week. If you need a pal, friend me. I'll be happy to send…

Real uncomfortable. Time to take back control.

I have found that averaging losses out over weeks is more helpful. 3 lbs over 2 weeks is 1.5 per week. That's good progress! Keep it up.
