I do my BPC for breakfast instead of skipping it. I use a cup of coffee, 1 T. Cold expelled coconut oil, 1 T. Kerrygold butter, sometimes a packet of Stevia in the Raw, and blend on high in a Vitamix until I get a nice foam. Enjoy. I get a brand of ketone test strips at Walmart. They're pretty much the same but about half the price. They were working great but I haven't used them in a bit because it'd be a waste because I know I'm eating too many carbs. Tomorrow is a new day.

I feel you. I've "fallen off the wagon". Hard. On my butt. I live with a parent and she loves junk and carbs for herself and my nephew and she expects me to just have "self-control" even though I'm trying to recover from binge eating issues. Soooo helpful.... not.

I'll see if I can find the article again. You probably won't be able to see the whole thing without a subscription, unless it was an open source publication, but you can at least read an abstract. It was peer-reviewed, not some magazine article.

Ummm... semi-paranoia, half-a$$ed hallucinations, etc. I knew it was all in my head, but it still scared the snipes out of me. I think the ketosis was making me manic, but I'm not sure. We'll find out soon. I ate some carbs and came out of ketosis and it calmed down, but also changed my meds (yeah, I'm one of those guys).…

You do enough experiments you're pretty much guaranteed to get conflicting data.

Okay... two more. Is it normal to lose 5.4 lbs in a week? Is it normal to not really be hungry until about 1 pm and only have the appetite for about 1150 calories after that?

Great suggestions. I'll just keep my questions here to not crowd the thread. Am I in ketosis? I just tested my urine ketone and it was darker than the 15 mg/dL but not as dark as the 40 mg/dL. Am I ketoic?

I am 5 foot 5.5 inches and weigh 164.6 with a body fat of 21.3%. I walk and bike some but that's it. Would I be considered "overfat"?
