  • I have been trying for days to figure it out and I can’t. That is one of the features I used the most to hold me accountable.
  • I added you. I too am in the process of losing 50 pounds with an office job. I walk at least 2 times a day on my breaks, it really seems to help. It's just laps around a large area we have in the back of our building (I don't feel safe walking alone outside in the area I am in). I can get about a 1/2 mile in on each of my…
  • The weight is coming off a little bit slower than I had hoped, but I am not worried about it. While I have a goal for vanity reasons (I want to look better in my son's graduation pictures than I did my daughters), what I am really seeking is feeling better. And I am feeling so much better! I am starting to wake up before…
  • Last week was not my best week for sure. Very little exercise and I didn't track my food like I should have. However, I had a great weekend and was able to incorporate some exercise in the form of outdoor activities. My husband was hunting for deer sheds in the woods so I went along for the exercise. It was so refreshing,…
  • So, my son graduates in May and I am really buckling down to try and lose 25 pounds before the end of May. I am not a 100% focused on the number, but my mind works in numbers so this is how I am trying it. I have a calendar that I use to write down pretty much everything. I use it for meal planning, workout planning and…
  • I will send you a request. I am looking to lose about 50-60 pounds, with a 25 pound goal by the end of May. I have been working on the same 5-10 pounds for a year now and I am really trying to get with it. I find having friends to run ideas by and share your achievements and struggles very helpful!
  • It has been awhile since I checked in here, but I have been posting almost daily on my feed. Things are going well, I fell off a little after the holidays. I am not sure why I did that, I did so good not giving into all the holiday goodies. But, I am moving forward. Still trying to find balance and time for everything in a…
  • Hi everyone! It has been a few weeks since I have been here. I post daily on my news feed and forget to check in on the forums every once in while. Hope everyone is having a great start to the new year! Mine has been pretty busy with sports and kid things. RIght now I am still working on consistent logging and a workout…
  • I did so well over Christmas, but I just couldn't avoid the temptation of the cheeseburger last night. It has been a busy and stressful week, and the next two don't look much better (12 basketball games in 10 days!). It was so good though. I am a big stress eater and have to do a lot of planning to make sure I plan meals…
  • I did the same, I lost about 50 pounds (not for myself, but for someone else) and then gained it all back plus some. I am losing it this time for myself!
  • Good morning! @highmaintnance I did really good over the Christmas holiday. I still enjoyed food, but I was accountable for what I ate and still kept up with my workouts. I actually lost a pound! I rewarded myself with 2 new workout outfits yesterday. I did an arm workout two days ago that has rendered my arms useless :D…
  • I don't use the blog feature, but I do use the news feed to vent out my fitness journey. Maybe use that? I like the interaction with others on it. But I agree, the my blog feature sucks. I think I used it once or twice. It says you can edit, but you actually cannot. I gave up.
  • I love having friends that are active in my news feed. That keeps me motivated more than anything!
  • I had a Zoom meeting yesterday and didn't hate the way I looked on camera.
  • @angela_mastin motivation is hard! I have struggled with it so many times. For me, I find I do best when I am consistent with logging and interacting with the friends I have on here. I post a lot on my news feed (including my goals for the day) and can talk back and forth with others that are on the same journey. I…
  • @bumpbreakcar I usually stick with one or two breakfast meals for the week. If I have time on Sunday, I like to make the egg muffins. Usually, I use eggs, feta cheese, spinach, sometimes cherry tomatoes and whatever meat I have on hand. I really like them with turkey sausage crumbles. If I don't have time for that (like…
  • @callsitlikeiseeit that is probably the best advise I have seen in any of these discussions! Thank you for that! I have been one that went all in and fizzled out just as quick as I started. I am starting again and just focusing on a few things at a time. I probably need to be better at weighing my food instead of just…
  • I had a lot of success using MFP several years ago, but then went through some issues and gained all my weight back, plus some. I've tried starting several times since then, but can't seem to stick with it. When I lost weight several years ago, I did it for someone else. This time, I want to do it for me (my husband says I…
  • I only come to the discussions every once in awhile, but I post on my news feed daily and encourage those that do too. I will add you!
  • I was always tiny all through high school until college when I had my first, then second child. The weight kept coming on after that. In 2015, I was somewhere around 200 pounds. I know I quit looking at the scale then. I hated the way I looked but didn't feel motivated to do anything about it. One day, my (now ex) husband…
  • I need to do better at taking pictures so I can see the progress. I just started the journey AGAIN! So, sick of starting over. But this week has been good. I am also weighing every day. For me, as long as I am watching it daily, I do better. And logging, my best success in the past happened when I logged every day. With 5…
  • Just checking in to see how everyone is doing! I am feeling very motivated this week. I did a lot of planning over the weekend to prepare for my busy week and make sure that I can still fit time for myself, workouts and healthy eating. Just a few minutes spent meal planning (even if you don't have time to meal prep) can be…
  • @PatriceFitnessPal I am still here and chugging along, although not as fast as I would like :s Life is super busy at the moment, so I don't have as much time to go through the discussions. Hopefully some things will slow down here in the future! To everyone else, welcome! Feel free to add. When it is working and I am not…
  • @rmmckinney1966 I feel ya. I don't have to have knee replacement surgery, but I am having issues with them. Right about the time I was getting motivated with workouts. Now I am trying to figure out what I can and can't do and in the process gave up all the other good habits I created. I tried to add you, but apparently we…
  • I have been on and off MFP for years now...unfortunately repeating the same cycle I always do. I was doing good until a knee issue put me right back on a path to destruction! Now I am starting over AGAIN. I find I do best when I am logging in daily and interacting with those on my feed and some of these threads. It seems…
  • I've been gone for way too long...and I can feel it, mentally, emotionally and physically. I have gotten out of all my healthy habits. I need routine in my life, and it has just been so busy and changes from week to week that I just can't seem to establish something that works. I've also used my knee issue as an excuse,…
  • I’m currently still waiting on an MRI. My doctor is almost 100% sure it is a torn meniscus. The MRI couldn’t be scheduled until 9/16. So I’m just sitting here waiting, seeing what I can do without causing a lot of pain. My birthday started out pretty good with a trip to St Louis. But while there, got a call about my former…
  • Every time I feel like things are going well, something happens. I'm going to remain positive, but goodness...I just want to continue on my journey without obstacles! :D So, first so happy news, I finally met my first goal and got out of the 190's I have been struggling in. The sad news, I am not sure how long it will…
  • @IMGLAMRUS2 I sent you a friend request. I try to post a lot on my news feed just for accountability for myself and hopefully share some ideas that work for me as inspiration for others. My 12 year old daughter has recently become interested in cosmetology. I don't know the technical name, but she has asked for one of…
  • Last week was another challenge with the start of school, increase in sports activity and my husband was out of town for work so it all fell on me. I really didn’t make the right choices and still didn’t find my new routine. I’ve been putting off getting on the scale because I am really scared of what it is going to say.…
