I have been trying for days to figure it out and I can’t. That is one of the features I used the most to hold me accountable.

I added you. I too am in the process of losing 50 pounds with an office job. I walk at least 2 times a day on my breaks, it really seems to help. It's just laps around a large area we have in the back of our building (I don't feel safe walking alone outside in the area I am in). I can get about a 1/2 mile in on each of my…

I will send you a request. I am looking to lose about 50-60 pounds, with a 25 pound goal by the end of May. I have been working on the same 5-10 pounds for a year now and I am really trying to get with it. I find having friends to run ideas by and share your achievements and struggles very helpful!

I did the same, I lost about 50 pounds (not for myself, but for someone else) and then gained it all back plus some. I am losing it this time for myself!

I don't use the blog feature, but I do use the news feed to vent out my fitness journey. Maybe use that? I like the interaction with others on it. But I agree, the my blog feature sucks. I think I used it once or twice. It says you can edit, but you actually cannot. I gave up.

I love having friends that are active in my news feed. That keeps me motivated more than anything!

I had a Zoom meeting yesterday and didn't hate the way I looked on camera.

@callsitlikeiseeit that is probably the best advise I have seen in any of these discussions! Thank you for that! I have been one that went all in and fizzled out just as quick as I started. I am starting again and just focusing on a few things at a time. I probably need to be better at weighing my food instead of just…

I had a lot of success using MFP several years ago, but then went through some issues and gained all my weight back, plus some. I've tried starting several times since then, but can't seem to stick with it. When I lost weight several years ago, I did it for someone else. This time, I want to do it for me (my husband says I…

I only come to the discussions every once in awhile, but I post on my news feed daily and encourage those that do too. I will add you!

I was always tiny all through high school until college when I had my first, then second child. The weight kept coming on after that. In 2015, I was somewhere around 200 pounds. I know I quit looking at the scale then. I hated the way I looked but didn't feel motivated to do anything about it. One day, my (now ex) husband…

I need to do better at taking pictures so I can see the progress. I just started the journey AGAIN! So, sick of starting over. But this week has been good. I am also weighing every day. For me, as long as I am watching it daily, I do better. And logging, my best success in the past happened when I logged every day. With 5…

@rmmckinney1966 I feel ya. I don't have to have knee replacement surgery, but I am having issues with them. Right about the time I was getting motivated with workouts. Now I am trying to figure out what I can and can't do and in the process gave up all the other good habits I created. I tried to add you, but apparently we…

I have been on and off MFP for years now...unfortunately repeating the same cycle I always do. I was doing good until a knee issue put me right back on a path to destruction! Now I am starting over AGAIN. I find I do best when I am logging in daily and interacting with those on my feed and some of these threads. It seems…

I lost a lot of weight several years ago, but it didn't last. However, then I was doing it for the wrong reasons. Now, I am doing it for myself, because I want to feel better and be healthier overall. I am currently just tracking calories, making healthier food choices and trying to increase my activity. I post a lot on my…

@annliz23 I love that quote! It is so true. Since I started on my "fitness" journey, I have made so many changes and it feels great! I am working on purging in all areas of my life. I am working on my house, getting rid of all the junk I don't need sitting around. I am hoping that will allow me to make room for a workout…

Awesome job!

In my quest to build a happy, healthy life...I have to surround myself with people on the same mission as me, in various aspects of my life. I have a very supportive family, but when it comes to this aspect of my life, they are not on the same mission. So you guys are my people...those I surround myself with on my health…

@georgiapch70 I have 5 of them, and none of them like the same things. It's a pain sometimes but we are finding ways around it. I don't have time to cook two meals and they need to eat healthier too! If we are having something that doesn't fit within my limits, I have been eating a salad first, then reducing the less…

@mattphilly22 I feel you...we like to camp and have game nights with family. It's just so hard to eat healthy. But I am trying!

My husband always tells me, "you know you did the exercise, it's fine". And I'm like...but it didn't count :D Technology, gotta love it. Oh well, I think it's finally fixed. The being short 45 seconds would drive me crazy too. I'm pretty sure that won't happen with me, I am not a night owl! Good luck the rest of your month!
-
@lmf1012 I looked that up too. But all my morning walks are about the same. I go the same route every day and it takes about the same amount of time. It is supposed to be a "brisk walk" to count and my heart rate was always above 130. I even walked 2 miles with my husband once who is 8 inches taller that me so it takes…

It's been about 13 years since I had my last baby :D But I have at least 50 pounds to lose. I try to post quite a bit on my feed and will encourage you along the way. Right now, I am monitoring my calorie intake and trying to increase my workout activity (morning walks, walking breaks and trying to get in at least one…

Awesome job. Me and my apple watch have a rocky relationship. Some days I will go on my morning walk and I get no exercise minutes. Other days I get 20. It is great motivation though! I reset my calibration data and now it seems to be working consistent. Maybe I will join you for the rest of July! I am not sure I have had…

@LucyMarks1752 I lost weight about the same time period and also gained it all back. I was so motivated then and have struggled since getting mentally back in that place. My life has changed a lot since then too. I'm taking small steps with my changes, but I am already feeling so much better!

@strezz_iz_my_middlename I will add you also. We are very similar. I have been on and off this app for several years, hovering in the 190's for about the last 3. I am not necessarily worried about a scale number, I just want to feel healthy again. I am working on logging all my food, making healthier choices and getting…

@jsmuda2012 I've done the same, tried so many different programs and always giving up. What I found for me was that so many of them took too much time and I gave up quickly because I would get stressed. I have found just simply tracking my food on MFP works best. I don't currently pay attention to macros or anything else,…

@georgiapch70 I too have been off and on for years, more off than on lately and I can feel it. Everything is starting to hurt! Not all my goals are the same as yours, but I am trying to work out daily. I am walking on by breaks at work and have a goal of at least 30 minutes of exercise per night. Right now I am shooting…

41 here, but feeling a lot older physically. I've put on a lot of weight the last few years, and my hips and back are feeling it. Time to get off this yo-yo cycle I've been on and get serious! I find a lot of support and motivation when I am active with these threads, you all are great! I'm ready to feel healthy again!!…

I feel like I am the worst "serial starter". A few years ago I went from 200 pounds down to 140 just by using MFP and walking or jogging a minimum of 3 miles per day. That was 2015 and by 2017 I was on my way back up. I've started and stopped so many times since then. I just can't seem to find the motivation I had before.…
