I'm doing all of the same things!!!! But just wondering if we ever get past this? Will our bodies acclimate or will we always be cold?

I don't find this offensive at all! It's a great question. Don't read into it----just look at your past weeks' weights. For me, I have lost 5 pounds the first week of my diet. Then it levels off to 0-2 lbs per week. I have always recognized that those 5 pounds were mainly composed of water weight, but that was OK. I was on…

Raisins----too many, but I was craving them----and blackberries

for me---working at night and sleeping a portion of the day definitely messes with my weight. I am a flight attendant and work odd hours. But recently, I fly all night and come home and sleep for a few hours during the day. Whenever I am on a schedule like this, I have a hard time sticking to my calorie goals. If you are…

I weigh 122. My calories are set to 1200. Would like to lose about 12 pounds. I find when I eat junk/processed food, I tend to crave more of it almost immediately, so I am not able to use those as satiety foods. Apples, grapes and bananas will only keep me full for an hour or so. Turkey, chicken and beef works for about 3…

that's good to know. I only want to lose 5 vanity pounds or so, and it is really restrictive with my food intake. I appreciate it!

LOL!! I didn't mean to start the popcorn wars on my post about filling low cal foods! Either way, y'all have been very helpful!
-
Yes, I am premenstrual! Oh well........I am off to bed! I made it by eating whole radishes, which I LOVE!!! They were filling and hardly any calories! I really am motivated to win this weight loss game!
-
which yogurt do you find to be this most satisfying for the calories?
-
And thanks to everyone who responded! I learned not to eat too many of my calories early in the day! But I was abnormally hungry today, so I just ate to satiate my hunger----I did not cheat. I had boneless skinless chicken, veggies, a protein shake a big salad and a good bit of fruit for breakfast. Oh well, live and learn.…

I am weighing the popcorn after it's popped. Yes, the popper makes 12 cups, but the lid comes offI have a large microwave---and many more popped kernels overflow out. At least 3 more cups are made and land around the popper in the microwave. I scoop the entire contents and have 15 cups plus some which when weighed comes…
-
i think that is what causes us to under estimate our calories. we think a cup is a lot more than it actually is
-
nope it's right 31 calories per cup times 15 cups
-
ok guys thanks a bunch. will do better tomorrow. And I checked my presto popcorn popper---it makes 3 quarts which is 12 cups----it always overflows the lid by at least 2 more cups---so 15 cups times 31 is 451 calories. And I easily eat that much. It only fills up half of a bowl that you mix cake batter in. Sucks. I don't…

my scale has been accurate for everything. when I weigh a peeled grapefruit it's usually 20 calories more than what the bag says when you scan the upc. I would think I would be getting wrong caloric values for the rest of my stuff as well, not just the popcorn. I really am hoping you are right!
-
thanks for the advice guys. And with the air popped popcorn calorie total----I hope you all are right, but according to my scale----minus the bowl weight, I was getting between 477 and 550 calories each time. I used presto popper that you put kernels in and then pop in the microwave----with nothing but popcorn kernels. The…

oh and I deduct the weight of the bowl!
-
thanks! when I make airpopped popcorn, I weigh it and half a bowl always comes out to be like 477 calories with nothing on it! I love it and do it here and there, but that eats up a good portion of my 1200 calories for the day. It's only 1;20 pm here, so I guess I will go with celery. Unless there is a lower calorie high…

yes. good luck! I started losing once I bought a food scale and started eating at a deficit. I used to think low carb was the answer but I could never achieve my goal. The answer is here and it's simple. Take in less calories than you expend. Happy logging!

that's what I am scared about! weighing in the next morning and whatever I ate right before bed bumping up my weight!
