I have taken phentermine and am currently on wellbutrin for depression. I can tell you that neither one caused a substantial increase in weight lost as compared to not taking them. I would try this app for for, say, a month and see how it works out for you. Like others have said you cant take it forever. Also, the majority…

Just being honest and not trying to sound harsh..but that sounds extremely harsh and not at all sustainable. Why not just plug your stats into here, eat what you want (as long as it fits into your calorie goals) and go from there? I personally wouldn't make it through the first week...but, if you can, more power to ya 😉

I tried WW..failed miserably. It really depends on what you want..this app is free, where as with weight watchers you're going to pay a monthly subscription. With mfp you count calories, with WW you count points. I personally found WW more restrictive as far as how they label "good" and "bad" foods

I do every once in a while..just for sanitys sake. But for me, I find the more cheat meal/days I have..the harder it is for me to stay on track (the more I cheat..the more I crave "bad" foods) so I try to avoid them as much as possible...depends on your triggers though and how well you are able to control yourself

I've been on wellbutrin about 2-3 years now and have not noticed it making a bit of difference as far as gaining weight..actually my doctor prescribed me wellbutrin because it was the only depression medication that didnt have weight gain as a side effect. She said it actually helps most people lose weight

I have 100+ pounds to lose, so I'm in the same boat :( find something that motivates you (kids, significant other, a fit person..) And stick with it! I use my kids as a motivator. You can do this! Aldo, don't be afraid to ask questions and lurk in these threads..trust me, you can learn a lot! Good luck!

I am following this , cause I am wondering the same thing.

^^^this says it ALL for me as well! I have lost and gained weight so much and I'm just sick of it. I'm using my boys as my motivation this time...and this time I'm going to lose the weight and KEEP it off:) you got this!

Awesome :) thank you both for your responses :)

That's what I figured. Thank you all for your responses!

I also have done insanity in the past and was losing little to no weight, and I couldn't understand why until I got a kitchen scale. I was WAY underestimating how many calories I was taking in. My advice: get a kitchen scale and weigh and log literally everything! Log your exercise calories burned and aim to eat back at…

I've taken Alli and yes, it will make you poop your pants...I took it years ago and that's the main reason I stopped. Even if you don't accidently **** yourself, you still have oily anal leakage. Just eat healthy and exercise and don't waste your money on gimmicks

Wow. That's good to know. I had never heard anything about it before that app either. Thank you
-
Yes I did :)

I am right there with you! I have about 105lbs to lose :( its gonna be a long, uphill battle but I know I can do this! I have to for my boys :) and so can you! Find something, anything, to keep you motivated..whether it be a significant other, kids, an old photo of yourself...anything! And use it to push yourself..that's…

I would definitely update your weight. As much as it sucks, a change in weight comes a change in the calories you need to take in each day.

Awesome! Thank you :)

So basically its not worth it until I lose all the weight and then want to tone up, right?
-
No I have not. I've been wanting too , just haven't gotten around to getting a measuring tape. Ive been exercising 5-6 days a week and have cleaned up my diet quite a bit (and my portions). Thank you to everyone who has been kind, I appreciate it:)
