  • I've been LCHF (keto) since the beginning of this year but have also coupled that with eating at or below my recommended calories (calorie deficit). I'm not sure who told you that you can eat as much as you want on keto- that just isn't true. While eating a keto diet helps many people feel fuller throught the day you must…
  • I love doing 20-25 minute HIIT routines where I go hard for 45 seconds, rest for 20 and repeat. I get an awesome workout and have had amazing results!
  • Walnuts, pork rinds, 90% dark chocolate, cheese, jerky just to name a few.
  • Sounds to me like you are still eating too much. I am your same height (but weigh 200) and my calories to lose two pounds a week are 1700. Try to check you're goals in MFP and make sure you don't have it set on maintain current weight. 2400 to lose weight really sounds like a lot. Also, I agree with a few comments above-…
  • Yes- turn off your Fitbit on MFP right away! MFP already takes your daily caloric deficit into account based on your pre-set activity level. Right now your FitBit is telling you you can eat above your caloric goals and is totally sabotaging you! Also- I love diet coke and drink 3 per day- it hasn't stopped me from losing…
  • Actually it depends on your current all around diet. I eat low carb high fat LCHF (65% 25% protein and 10% carbs). For me coconut oil is an absolute must. I use 1-2 tablespoons a day to cook or in my coffee to make sure I am eating enough fat calories. BTW- I've lost 30lbs in 3 months on this plan and I'm almost never…
  • I have been on a low carb high fat diet for 3 months and lost 30lbs so far. Try to eat a lot of fat- it is good for you! I eat 15% of my calories from carbs, 20% from protein and 65% from fat. It will be hard to relearn that fat is your new fuel but you will see big results. Google LCHF to learn more!
  • http://youtu.be/fL5-9ZxamXc. check out this video- it's all about eliminating carbs from your diet. I tried tons of diets and the only thing that has ever worked is changing my mindset and reducing my carbs. The video is great (although technical in some parts) but it will work if you try it. Best of luck with everything.
  • Donuts. I'd love one but can't bring myself to do it. If I was just counting calories I'd skimp elsewhere to have one but on LCHF I can't even consider it!
  • Stay strong- it is doable! Have you tried a low carb high fat plan? I've been low carb and lost 30lbs in 3 months. Check out this video on how it works. There is awesome science behind this. You can also google LCHF plans to help get you started. Good luck!!!! http://youtu.be/fL5-9ZxamXc
  • First off get yourself a multi-vitamin and a potassium supplement- this will help make sure you are getting your basic nutrients. I personally love coconut oil for cooking or mixing 1 tbsp into my coffee. Also- I would avoid fruit entirely, the vitamins will help with that. Also- walnuts are a great low carb snack - just…
  • Have you tried changing your macros? Maybe getting your carbs down to 75 per day (or fewer) would help while increasing your fat intake. You might try 20% carbs, 25 % protein and 55% fat.
  • Quick tip - DO NOT stretch before you run! Do a very slow warmup to get the blood flowing and stretch fully after your run. Pre-run stretching is never a good idea.
  • Yes and no. Tea contains caffeine which can also act as a dietetic and dry you out. If you are going to drink tea just try to drink 8 ounces of water in between each cup.
  • It happened and you can't take it back. Don't let it slow you down. Start fresh immediately and make better choices moving forwards! Good luck!

  • I would start by readjusting your macros. I would suggest cutting catbs to a minimum (max 50 per day). You can make up the calories in fat. Make sure to stay at or below your suggested calorie intake through myfitnesspal and track everything! Also - do a google search on LCHF diet- you will lose weight and feel better!
