It's good enough for chickens... why not? ;) And yes, I'm *fully* aware that the FDA finally decided to repeal their authorisation of some of the arsenic containing chicken feeds (after the companies that made them had already voluntarily withdrawn them). Why does everyone go for the black and white all or nothing approach?

^ This. It's *roughly* how I eat regardless. It's not "hard" I actually did it originally more from a standpoint of wanting to support local farmers rather than a "this will make me lose weight!" stand point. At the end of the day the majority of this forum concentrates massively on CICO and generally neglects the…

If it is that bad it may be worth talking to your doctor and seeing if they will give you something stronger, perhaps codeine based, to have on hand. They shouldn't have a problem with that if it's only for one day a month.

Couple of points here: The apple watch doesn't have GPS, it will however utilise your phone's GPS if you have it with you. No phone = no GPS Optical HR sensors are pretty awful when it comes to weights. They start out ok, but as the workout goes on they become more and more unable to read your HR. I use the scorsche…

well, when I've been in migraine territory with nothing stronger available and no alternative, I've taken 800-1000 within an hour or two. But then when I'm in the middle of a full blown migraine the long term (or even short-term) implications to my health are completely irrelevant to me. But then I know from experience my…

if you (they?) are in enough pain to warrant this then perhaps a trip to the doctor would help? That way you could receive more effective painkillers without potentially giving yourself stomach issues etc. Beyond that, people can't really advise on here as no one knows your (their?) medical history. Whilst it's an…

It wasn't a negative... OP found a way to incorporate things she loves into her goals and thus they don't need to be "treats". she's done well in making sustainable lifestyle changes and made some awesome decisions! Gtz op! :)

I will have to call you crazy there to be honest. Normally avoid these stupid arguments like the plague but... yeah. Many countries have banned substances that your FDA have approved. It's not all wonderfully safe and brilliant just because the FDA says so.

Sometimes it sucks being in this time zone... getting a bit sick of waking up to forums full of spam. I spend more time flagging than I do reading. There should be some kind of automated system whereby if you get 2 threads deleted from spam flags then your account is locked until admin can review it or something. At least…

unless you somehow smacked yourself there with a kettlebell I don't see how tbh...

people you don't, which is why it is best to check first and then stick with that one correct entry.

I didn't say they were coconut juice ;) I was being silly and having a jab at the "miracle" properties if the humble coconut and the "miracle" properties of the humble pineapple. I guess I should have been more clear in my jesting :p I can't say I've ever heard of putting ice-cream/cream in though... you're weird! And you…

Actually, for the sake of science I think you should carry out your experiment in Germany. It's a commonly held belief that German calories are much more efficient. You could carry it out Mythbusters style.

That's only because it's Canadian McDonalds. Canadian calories are nicer to your body than American calories.

Incoming cleanse regime, detox and supplements? But in all honesty, I really wish that some legal force in the UK would take the Daily Mail to task over it's continuous spouting of absolute fiction and vitriol... People tend to believe it because it's a "newspaper" when in all really it is nothing but just a junk magazine…

Yay! another "spectrum"! :p

Not entirely true, it should be balanced out to ensure the correct electrolytes are present, otherwise it could potentially lead to issues, depending on how obsessively one feels the need to cleanse.

And where do we stop? How about labeling all of those CEO's of multinational companies who spend 18 hrs a day at work? It interferes with their family life and negatively affects their children and their ability to live a healthy balanced lifestyle, wouldn't you say? Their obsession with making money is borderline…

You should weigh them in whatever state the nutritional info on the back says. It *should* say per 100g frozen or uncooked or whatever
-
Some less scrupulous providers will add water to their meat/fish to make it weigh more. Other than that frozen/cooked/raw will also weigh differently (again, water content)
-
Or you could go the other way and weigh daily to learn your fluctuations and trends. Depends on how you like your data. Or how attached you are to the numbers.

try taking some magnesium supplements. If it's RLS or some other neurological itch, that will help.

i was going to try and read all of this again, and pay attention properly to see what all the fuss was about, but you lost me with that comment right there. I suddenly stopped caring... Enjoy your proteiney goodness, whichever way you swing.

I've actually been advised to eat more salt because I have low blood pressure. It's not unheard of.

This stuff already exists. www.ifit.com unfortunately you need their special gym equipment. It's great though, you get to walk/run/bike wherever you want using google maps. It's really quite cool.
