Hi everyone! I’m Mandi. Hope it’s ok if I jump in. I’m needing some accountability and a place to be able to check in at. Back story from March of 14 to now I’ve lost down to 96lbs lost then gain back 15-20 then lose it over and over and over. It’s like the closer I get to 269 the more I panic and start gaining back. I…

Hope you have a great weekend too @suzieq113 I’ll just be over here with headphones and my “inappropriate” music. Lol. It seriously feels like a guilty pleasure. I don’t own up to my love for Cardi b and that type of music to just anyone. Just not “appropriate” for a southern lady in most circles. 😉 Or so says my…

I’d love more friends on here. I’ve been “stuck” hovering up and down over the same 15lbs for the last year or so. I’d love to know there are people seeing my weigh ins to help me be accountable to myself. Ready to bust through this and get down to where I want to be.

Hope it’s not too late to join in. 😁 Weight: 296 Goal by 12/31/19: 280 Favorite Calorie Burning Activity: Dance Cardio Biggest Challenge to meeting your Goals: My brain. A Guilty Pleasure: What my family says is inappropriate music for a 39 yr old mom of 4. Lol

Thanks @EvgeniSyntx . My doctor hinted at the same thing. Switching my diet up some. Bless her heart she spent a good 45 minutes with me yesterday and went over most of my food logs on here. She thinks it couldn't hurt me to add some variety to my meals and that maybe I should try getting closer to the calorie goal MFP has…
Because you are focusing on carbs and blood sugar, I assume you are diabetic (or at least pre-diabetic). If so, are you on metformin? There is some evidence that long term, metformin interferes with B12 absorption. I'm glad your doctor recommended an endocrinologist, who can help with both diabetic and thyroid…

@Francl27 Thanks. Off to find a better butter entry. lol The pork loin I just went with what was closest to the info on the pack of raw meat. I just baked it without anything added other then salt. So I didn't add any calories to it. I don't expect it to be exact really. I figure that I'm off by 100-200 calories each day…

Thought I'd update this thread since you all were so helpful to me. :) Saw my doctor for my yearly physical yesterday. Took in with me my ridiculous notebook of of calories eaten, calories burned, blood sugar measurements of fasting and each meal and daily weight. Yes, I write it all in one notebook in hopes I can find…

On Wednesday 17 Feb you had "1 slice" of white bread. There's a risky guess. Same day you had 100 grams of Brown Rice. Just wondering if that was a guess. High calorie foods like these are the most important things to weigh accurately. If the food entry you've been using doesn't let you log in grams, find or create an…

Just now checking this thread and seeing the last few replies. @JustMissTracy Other then coffee I was only drinking water otherwise. I've added in tea a couple of times a day now and that shows in my recent logs. I do add honey to that but measure it with the teaspoon I keep in my jar of local honey. Drinking my calories…
I'm going to give this a try. I hope it helps. Thanks for sharing!
I hope it does! It's such a tiny trick but it does wonders for me. :)

I'm the same way. Nothing wrong as far as my doctor says. I just sort of ignored it for the longest time. Then I was in a Yoga class in the ending pose (Corpse pose flat on my back) and my teacher came around and took my sweat towel, folded it up and put it under my head right at the base. Immediately the sick feeling went…

Thanks, "Very brisk pace" is what my heart rate monitor lists my exercise as. I walk 3.6mph on the treadmill right now. Slowly building speed up there. But, because I have a short stride my steps generally put my mileage count up by 1/2 a mile based on my pedometer. Anyway,my heart rate monitor uploads my calorie burn…

Okay, y'all. One week into logging more carefully. Not perfectly yet because of Valentine's Day we ate out twice and my husband brought home doughnuts. I didn't have any clue how to log those so I went with the numbers closest to the website's numbers. However I know those are probably off. Also, last Friday is empty…

Normally as in how I was eating before last March? No, I didn't alter my diet for the holidays. I just have smaller amounts and correct portions. Since I'm eating for blood sugar control more so then calorie count really I can't cheat. I have a very tight control on my blood sugar and just don't allow myself too many carbs…

They checked it back in August I think. Could look up the date to be sure. I had small bald spots on my eyebrows and was loosing a lot of hair. Reminded me of what I went through after each of my 4 kids were born. My main doctor was out on maternity leave so I had to see someone else in the practice. She sort of brushed…

Walking I started in June... Started with 1/2 a mile and kept slowly increasing speed until I was up to 3.4mph which is what I walk at currently. I've been at over 3mph since Sept though. Now I'm playing with walking 1 of the 3/4 miles faster. I have a old foot injury that likes to rare it's head if I push too hard and jog…

That helps so much! Especially setting the number of servings that way! I wouldn't have thought to do that. You just solved what was really holding me back from trying to enter all the meals I make for supper! I don't generally use recipes so I never have a good starting off point to log from. Thank you for sharing!!

Great idea!!! Thank you! That's exactly what I've been doing. Searching for something and then giving up and picking the thing that seems closest to what I ate.

Thanks janejellyroll! Maybe this will address the problem. I still have a LONG way to go. They make it look so easy on tv. lol

The woman I see is a registered dietitian. I don't know that I trust her advice too much though. She basically just gave me some hand outs and sent me on my way. I've been to see her 3 times (cause insurance covers it so why not). She gives me some "Atta Girls" and thats pretty much it. She just happened to mention at my…

Thanks! 83lbs since March of 2015. Well, from March-Dec. of 2015. I haven't lost anything since the first of December. Didn't change anything in what I was doing until a few weeks ago. It just stopped working.

Thanks everyone for the quick answers!! :) I'll spend some more time logging the next two weeks and see what happens. I thought I was safe guessing at calories. I weigh everything to the gram for serving sizes because I watch carbs for blood sugar control. So I often just enter it as a serving size. Like my home-made ranch…

I've rewarded myself every 25lbs. Two rewards were new Tervis cups to encourage me to drink more water. Having a fun cup to drink out of really helps me. Then one was some new rings to wear in place of my wedding band (that didn't fit at the time.. but it does now). I need to do something Big for 100lbs (at 83 right now).…

I know some people can lose weight while nursing but I was never one of those people. My body would not let go of the majority of the "baby" weight until we weaned. I've nursed 4 kids and had the same thing happen with each one of them. Give it time. Eat healthy, move more and eventually the weight will come off. Probably…

Hi, I'm in North Carolina 35 years old and still at least 100 lbs to go to be at a healthy weight. I've already lost around 80 (depending on the day). Would love to add some more friends. :)

I do, once a week. I clean a local church as a part time job. I wore my heart rate monitor just for fun one time. In the two hours it takes me to clean the church I burn somewhere between 600 and 800 calories based off my heart rate. So now I wear my heart rate monitor every time just to keep track. That being said I don't…

Height: 5'6" SW: 353 Sw for challenge: 272.8 CW: 273.0 ( +.02) GW (for this challenge) :247.8 Thinking I might not make GW for the challenge. lol Still I made it through Christmas and TOM with only being up .02. So I'm thrilled with that. I've taken the past two weeks off of exercise because I just couldn't manage to fit…
