  • Having done several whole30's and other similar things, I feel you. You basically have to make all your own stuff from scratch. Homemade mayo? Sure, it's easy and delicious. Tomato sauce? Easy too, just add spices to the canned stuff. But an extra gram here or there won't kill you. For things that could use a bit of sugar…
  • those look great, but I'm a bit wary of the carb count in the pico. Tomatoes have lots of carbs.
  • When you grab a pair of jeans the next size jeans at the store without trying them home "for later, when I'm skinnier" and when you get home and try them on they're just right!
  • If you're not hungry, don't eat. If you are, add some fat.
  • I'm on my second week 1 of ket and my day of eating today looked like this: bullet proof coffee for breakfast (1 tablespoon kerrygold butter, 2 oz half and half, blended). You might want to work up to a liquid breakfast. I had a handful of almonds later in the morning to hold me over. For lunch I had romaine with lettuce,…
  • Most ketoers try to stay under 20 grams, but don't worry too much about that - it looks like your protein and fat is a little off, you want to aim for a lot more fat and less protein. A good rule of thumb is your fat should be double your protein, and keep your (net or total, depending on what you want to do) under 20. Too…
  • ruled.me has a thirty day meal plan that's really good, but you don't really need one. The first week at least keep it very simple, eggs, bacon, butter, cream, cheese, and salads with ranch. It's surprisingly simple. Check out butter bob's youtube channel for inspo, too.
  • It's totally a pain, but I got a ninja coffee bar for christmas with a built in frother, and it makes it mad easy!
  • I'm staying away from the artificial sweeteners this time around - so my version of keto coffee is a latte made with my ninja coffee bar and 4oz of organic half and half (cheaper than cream, and about the same carbs), or bpc with either a little bit of half and half or nutpods creamer and a tablespoon of kerrygold…
  • Somewhere in settings, you can control what shows up in your food log, you can change your goals there and also change what you see in your food log. I add fiber so I can see that, and subtract it from total carbs for net carbs.
  • I have found the same thing - I used to have awful anxiety, which got way better when I became a christian, but not gone entirely. Once I started losing weight, I've come almost all the way to "normal" with only occasional bouts of mild nervousness that anyone might have. Love it.
  • haha -good old size inflated old navy!
  • That's awesome, I sew clothes, but I've never tailored them -something I definitely need to learn to save money!
  • that is so awesome! I had to stop myself from stocking up on simplicity patterns this past weekend when they were $1 at Jo-anns. I can't wait to have that problem. Looking forward to be able to sew clothes again, too. I don't want to waste the fabric and time on things that I will just have to alter or donate.
  • I've done two before, and I'm planning to do another in January, with everyone else! I'm doing a ketogenic diet right now, so I need to figure out a way to do a keto whole30
  • The ketovangelist always says to eat when hungry, stop when full. I have a hard time with this myself. A lifetime of ingrained behaviors, I guess.
  • there are some other symptoms you can use if you don't want do buy the strips (dry mouth, nasty taste in the mouth, etc) - but I do like the strips. There are times when I'm absolutely certain I've gotten kicked out of ketosis, but the strip says otherwise!
  • I'm on week 4 of keto and I am loving it. I have had more success, faster, with this more than anything else. Some great things to have on hand: Torani sugar free flavored syrups, swerve sweetener (granulated erythritol) for keto treats, lots of bacon, eggs, cheese, and salami. Cream cheese, heavy cream, full fat ranch,…
  • Today our HR person stopped me and asked me what I was doing to lose so much weight! I"m at thirty pounds lots and I feel/feel like I look exactly the same. It's nice to get some recognition. Yesterday, a co-worker told me I was "melting away". Gotta say, it's getting to my head a little bit.
  • You're talking like a legit 5k a month, or just one dedicated run a month that happens to be 5k? I live in atlanta and I don't know if I can commit to that because I'm currently doing c25k, but I would love to be your friend! (:
  • That's so funny, I did the same thing on the same day so that I could run without shin pain when doing c25k and stop dropping it the second week! I over-pronate.
  • I third yoga with adrienne. She's the bomb.
  • google play music is my favorite, they have a radio (like pandora) called pick up your feet that I use for running.
  • I actually found her the other day just by autoplay. She's super fun.
  • yoga with adrienne is my favorite yoga person on youtube. She has a ton of them for different things, weight loss, runners, and every january she does a yoga video every day for a 30 day program. She also has an app that I have on my smart tv.
  • I know this isn't the most popular opinion, but I suffered from migraines at least weekly in high school, and the last year probably once a month. I have cut out a lot more caffeine than usual, but what really eliminated them was eating paleo. I have done a few whole30's and I'm not currently eating paleo because it's…
  • I've done whole30 twice now and have had great results each time. The first I lost 12 pounds and the second I lost 10. It can get rough and you can get hangry but be VERY PREPARED. have your breakfast ready, lunch planned, etc. Love eggs, eat a lot of them. Get acquainted with aidell's chicken sausage. You will have great…
  • I would try to estimate the parts of the whole and make a recipe out of it. All of those things exist in their simple forms, so just use a couple tbs of humus, a couple tbs of almond butter for the almond sauce, a paleo coconut wrap, etc. and figure out your best guess that way. I'm guessing 500 calories. Maybe more…
  • That's what I said! I don't think there are... I do have a smart TV and I have the youtube app and the yoga with adrienne app. With the youtube app you can watch pretty much anything - fitness blender, etc. I'm loving the fitness marshall dance routines right now just for fun and to try and suck less at dancing.
  • Tonight I decided to restart c25k, a nonscale victory in and of itself! But I remember a few weeks ago when I started the first time, the same shirt kept riding up and the same running shorts would fall under my belly, so I would have to hitch the shorts up and pull the shirt down. Tonight, I only had to readjust once!
