  • I've been using their shakes for years as a quick and easy breakfast. I typically mix them with almond milk and blend them with ice. I have found they will hold me over until lunch most days without a problem. While I prefer to eat my meals...my morning is rushed and this allows me to eat as I drive to work.
  • I have found dessert flavored yogurts to fill that void. Also, the 100 calorie snack packs often are sweeter or have dessert type options. If you are willing to up your calories a bit, some of the Quest bars are around 180-200 calories and many are chocolate or dessert like and fill that void.
  • I mix them in with yogurt....add them to sf pudding for a sweet treat....add them to smoothies....
  • Smoked ham and air fryer roasted carrots with italian seasoning on them.
  • This Greek chickpea salad is my ultimate favorite and is between 200-300 calories for a 1/4 of it...I make it at least 3 times a month for my work lunches. I will add a single serve tuna pouch to it for more protein, but it isnt needed... https://pin.it/z534mevstqqcan
  • You just summed up my last two months as well! Back on track as of today for the same reasons. Here's to a better shot this go-round!
  • Pouch tuna (if you buy the low sodium)...
  • Grated parm cheese and Italian seasoning...8 -10 minutes in the air fryer with just a bit of spray olive oil. Amazing!
  • I am currently in the process of switching from WW to MFP, mainly because I am finding sodium is a huge issue with me, and that it's really affecting me. I appreciate some of the thoughts behind WW in that unhealthy foods (higher saturated fats/higher sugar) are higher points and that high protein/fruits/veggies are low…
  • I have the Gear 3 and love it. I find it to be pretty accurate for things like steps/tracking distance/HR, however I do not wear it to bed as I find it typically will only go 2 days before needing charged. I find it's easiest to just put it on the charger each night when I got to bed. The Gear 3 has the texting function,…
  • Taco salads with black beans for protein! Can also use the morningstar farms black bean crumbles...Use salsa for dressing. Add in whatever veggies you like/want. I like corn, onions, peppers.
  • I had RNY gastric bypass 12 years ago and lost 110 lbs. Gained a few over the years and am using MFP to get back where I feel most comfortable. I use MFP to keep myself accountable and also watch my intake on sugar/carbs and such.
  • Thanks for the advice! I've been really trying to pay attention to my body and some days as I get going I realize my body needs less, so I just walk. The last thing I want is injury or to overdo it...
  • I had this happen to me last night and recognized it after reading these posts....my 2nd mile was even faster than my first and "easier".
  • I do egg white omelets and load it up with whatever fresh veggies I have handy. This am was yellow peppers, mushrooms and asparagus with just a sprinkle of cheese.
  • There is an iron supplement called Vitron C that has the iron and vitamin C all in one for those that need help above and beyond diet.

  • I love egg white omelets with vegetables (vary which ones). You can have equiv to a 4 egg omelet with veggies for under 200 calories.
  • Wow! Thanks everyone for all of the tips! I appreciate it! I want to be able to enjoy running, so I figured I'd try to start off right to begin with.
  • I've found EAS AvantEdge Carb Control makes Cafe Caramel ones and a few others that are not your standard Vanilla/Chocolate. They are only 17g protein rather than 20+, but meet the other requirements. I always have a few on hand because they are pre-made and almost a juicebox type format....Great to just always have if…
  • When I have a few extra calories and want a savory treat I will "rice" up a head of cauliflower, cook it until tender with a tbsp of olive oil and then melt in 2 oz of cream cheese and 1/2 cup of shredded cheese. Throw in a few other veggies for fun. YUM! Super creamy and tasty.
  • I second the Ideal Shape Shake brand. Definitely order it off of their website--it's cheapest and I don't think you can order it in stores. Only 100 calories for the shake, but it easily mixes with anything and you can easily add fruit or "stuff" to it to change up the flavors. Comes in Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry,…
  • It's not that I'm surprised...I guess I always knew processed foods had a lot of sodium, but it's really hit home now that I've focused on eating healthy (along with losing weight). Things I had really thought about like cheeses and English muffins...stuff like that. It has also really made me realize how much it affects…
  • I know---this is exactly how I was! Never really paid attention because I didn't salt anything and most of my seasonings I use were low salt/no salt. Couldn't believe what a can of soup or something simple could do to me!!
  • I think it's completely a personal preference. I typically look at my weekly trend (say Monday-Monday), but I do weigh daily. If you choose to weigh daily--don't get freaked out by daily fluctuations that can easily occur...
  • The only time that is going to "ruin" things is if you don't eat what you pre-log. Just remember if you eat other than what is in your log--that you need to change it! I find pre-logging SUPER helpful!
  • I'm not sure there is a "best one" for maintaining the weight because it's all up to you. They may have varying degrees of success in getting the weight off, but maintaining is up to you. It's a tool....nothing more. How you keep it off is your own strength and willpower.
  • Not sure if this is helpful or not, but my body held onto every single pound it could until I was done breastfeeding...my doc said it was my body's way of making sure I had everything needed to produce breastmilk.... As soon as I was done breastfeeding the weight came off...
  • Thanks everyone for the tips! Sounds like it's time to play around for a bit! I know my calorie burn will be off (it's also all uphill one way) but I would rather factor low on calorie burn....since I do eat back some...
  • I have dieted for years.... I think for the first time, I'm truly realizing how inactive I am/was and why losing weight is so difficult. I am learning that getting off the couch and moving really DOES make a big difference! I also feel like for the first time that it truly is a lifestyle change rather than a "diet and…
  • Maybe the sausage?! I know a lot of sausage--even the plain has quite a bit of salt/seasoning in it?
