This place is all about shutting down self-promotion. I agree with it for reasons such as gaining a following or monetary gains, but it does make it suck for some of us that just want to bounce some lifts off of each other for praise/critique/etc. Some ruined it for all, basically.

I do think that it's okay to make cardio about weight loss, though. I hate cardio, but I do it so that I can eat more without gaining weight. However, you do have to keep in mind that at the end of the day, it's about burning less calories than you consume. As long as you grasp that, you'll be successful in losing.

Exactly. I had set numbers going into the meet because I really wanted a 9 for 9. I think i should have deviated about 20lbs though and went closer to 575.

These "real life example" videos are in poor taste and the people recording ought to be ashamed. Can't stand that people would record others during their workout just to get a laugh. It's creepy too. I actually have a sense of humor (despite what the above post would lead people to believe).
