  • 1200 is too low. I am sorry, but consulting strangers on a fitness posting board is not going to help you get the correct advice. With the PCOS and the obesity, I would be consulting a doctor first, a therapist (yes, you need to talk this through with a professional) second, and get a referral to a dietitian third. Then…
  • Love it! I wish I had somewhere to teach it here in my new town :(... It is both but I think mostly cardio.
  • Legs for days!
  • You will starve and binge before losing nearly 100lbs this way. You need to eat for your body. I suggest for now, 2100 calories if you are not exercising. Make the pie read 45% protein, 40% healthy fat and the rest carbs. Low carb dieting will help you reach your goal just by nutrition. I really believe this.
  • No. Why would you work off something just to add it back, especially if you are trying to lose weight? My recommendation with MFP is DO NOT LOG exercise. My fitbit does it for me but if it bothers me I just delete it. And 1200 calories is an arbitrary number. Just hit your calorie intake of 1550 however you got that number…
  • You know, I hated working out with people, but before I moved, I found a workout buddy. We were both trainers and just fed off one another. I am gone now, but my motivation is high and I am still accountable to her daily too. Maybe hire a trainer for like 5-10 sessions to get some ideas and get started. Having a scheduled…
  • You don't need that many carbs, so I just suggest that you don't really eat them except in veggie and fruit form. If you want, only eat complex carbs that take more energy for your body to use them and then they won't convert to unnecessary fat. Steel cut oats Sweet potato Brown rice (I am a cheater with this and get the…
  • I just looked at your diary, and you are not doing Keto... your fats are not high enough and your carbs are too high. Try upping the fat. If you don't your body won't go into Ketosis like you want it to.
  • Yes, it is TERRIBLE for you. Your body just went 8 or more hours without food. You have to nourish your body and mind for a productive day. Eat some eggs and oats daily. This is easy. You will get used to it.
  • I am so done with people thinking that they can live off of 1200 calories. This has nothing to do with sugar and everything to do with starving.
  • It's habitual. Your parents and family did not know how to eat food, just food like products and unfortunately you have that learned behavior too. What adam2k10 said is right... genetics does not control what you put in your mouth. At your weight, it would be best for you to invest in a nutritionist/ dietitian instead of…
  • I am an NPC bikini competitor and I keep my carbs very low at all times other than on my refeed days. If you look at my diary (it is set up calorie wise for a 115lb woman, but you get the picture), you will see my carb intake is from veggies and very low. After subtracting fiber, my net carbs are usually under 35g. I try…
  • Not to be mean but why are you asking strangers on the internet when you have a nutritionist? If you are paying a professional good money, seek them out. As a trainer it really kills me when my clients don't ask me something that they are paying me for or trusting me or when they come back after asking strangers and tell…
  • Pork Belly Cookie Butter Cookies and Cream Cookie Butter Cookie Butter Ice cream Cookie Butter Cheesecake Anything cookie butter.... ummmm..... I also get salsa verde yum. Too bad the closest TJs is now in Tallahassee :( Maybe I will have to take a trip one day!
  • Stop drinking beer? Haha just kidding. Get your diet straightened out. I now live in Southern AL and I am a 30 year transplant from Denver, a "healthy" place. I am still getting my workout and healthy eating on living in this place. I have been going to Gold's down here and notice the same thing. These guys are in there…
  • You need to drink CASEIN protein right before bed. That will keep you fueled and full. No carbs, except if there are a few grams in the powder. Try dpsnutrition.com and buy Dymatize Casein in peanut butter chocolate or Optimum Nutrition in Chocolate Supreme. Try making a mug cake out of this stuff... I use this recipe, but…
  • Single leg anything.
  • I taught Zumba for years and had many success stories out of my classes. These people were religious followers of my class. They knew the routines and I kept it up beat for them and fun. I recommend finding an instructor that is easy to follow and who kicks your butt every class.

  • I agree completely with ninerbuff. However, you can train the muscles to get definition. Do plie or sumo squats (look up online) and squeeze! If you want to thin the legs out (sorry thigh gaps are mostly genetic) you need to follow a very strict diet and cardio regimen. It will also take time. I gave myself 2 years to get…
  • I am getting ready for a bikini npc show, so I am busting out stairs 2x per day for 45 minutes at about 5.3 miles each time. I am the stair- master... really... :)
  • Hey, I would suggest ground turkey too. I spice mine up with Fiesta Lime Mrs. Dash and some chipotle Cholula. It is very good! When I am not on 2 week show cut, I eat ground beef, steak, pork and don't forget protein shakes as well. Fish is a good option, too.
