  • Thanks everyone...I think my probem is definately over estimating my calorie burn and of course eating them back which means over eating...Im going to stick to my 1270 for the next few weeks and see if that helps and try not to eat back my exercise calories as its clear I am well over estimating..
  • Yeah I drink loads of water so theres no issue there...I know I can do it....I know I can NOT eat the exercise calories because I've done it today but some days I do feel more hungry than others....
  • My bodyweight x 10 equals to 1550, I've adjusted my calorie intake to 1500 and I'm going to give this a try for a few weeks! Is worth a try but I wont add my exercise calories in that!
  • and can I also add that even though my workouts/classes are only 30 minutes long they are "heart racing" workouts...Lets just say, I couldn't hold a conversation when doing them...My gym do the LesMills workouts and the 30 minute ones are more intense than the 45 minute ones i.e. the intervals are much less in a 30 minute…
  • Thanks Cattree2002 - how did you determine the 1500 value? I've done some research on various websites and completed various calorie intake calculators and most of them are saying for my lifestyle, height, weight etc I should be on approx. 1500 per day (give or take a few calories) which would include exercise calories and…
  • I only exercise in my lunch hour and my gym do 30 minute classes so Mon is combat, Tues I run 4k but trying to increase this, Weds I do GRIT then Combat for 1hr, Thurs Kettlebells and Friday another 4k run, and when I run I try and the last 5-10mins sprinting so my classes are quite high intensity i.e. get my heart rate…
  • Maybe I'm over estimating my exercise calories from doing that chart above, from now on I will only eat 50% of them and give that a try and see what the result is in a few weeks! I just feel like I am going very wrong somewhere but I cant quite find out where! And I often compare my weightlosses before exercise and better…
  • If I don't log on MFP then I will write it all down, I tend to only log Mon-Fri and write down at the weekends, I have my own spreadsheet too, I didn't log yesterday as I didn't have access to my laptop but instead wrote it down. and I definitely don't eat 2000 calories per day!
  • This link won't work for me so I put it in as Running for 30 minutes and it came out as 290 calories burnt and I went on 4x different calorie counter websites which all varied from 268 to 380 calories burnt so I just put in the 290. Kel
  • I love spinning, GRIT & bodycombat (I think these are classed as cardio)...GRIT is definitely my hiit class which I only do once a week, its brutal and don't think I could manage more than one class but I feel so good afterwards
  • Current weight loss is 1-2lbs a week although Im just getting back on track following my wedding etc...in 4 weeks I lost 4lb. Can you eat too little? i.e if you dont eat ur exercise calories back should I be eating my 1200?? Also is the 1200 based in a calorie deficit already? i.e has MFP already deducted calories in order…
  • I feel guilty because I read that your not supposed to eat them all as they are not accurate but somes times I need more food :-)
  • So I can eat all my exercise calories and not feel super guilty?!?
  • And upon working it out the two figures don't average around the same each week, theres a 1012 calorie difference which is a lot...
  • But aren't you not supposed to eat all your exercise calories on MFP, if thats the case then my MFP goal is lower than my TDEE Goal i.e. MFP 1200 + 336 for exercise today, if I only eat 50% of those exercise calories then I'd only be getting 1368 calories which is 157 less than the 1525 calculated on iifym... Think I may…
  • And like for instance tomorrow I would be doing Yoga which earns me around 139 exercise calories (1200 + 139 = 1339) but I'm allowed to have 1525 EVERYDAY...
  • I've been smoke free now for 1 year and the reason I stopped was because I started going running with my husband...for me it didnt take long before I noticed how easier it was getting and I just listened to my body,we would run home from work which was about 3k,some nights I had to stop once or twice but didnt take me long…
  • You see u dont walk like youvr got a nickel between your but..you gotta kinda swing the butt cheeks from side to side so u can really feel the muscle working...if u walk round holding a nickel un between ur butt its gonna look like youve pooped urself...you really gotta think about it too...beat in mind its taken me months…
  • So instead of having the 1200 calorie goal that MFP gives me, could I just eat the 1524 everyday but of course dont log my exercise - would that work? Thanks for explaining this to me!!
  • Last night I ate back my calories as we had indian which we wouldnt normally have so I wouldve have more calories for today/tomorrow if I wouldnt have had my indian :-) It was nice though!
  • Yeah I was thinking of doing that, I read some where on here that if they have calories left over from the day then they go to Saturday and add some exercise that would equal to the calories they had left over from say Monday so they know how many calories extra they can have at the weekend...I'm gonna give this a try...I…
  • I struggle where I think I want to eat more and just generally feel more hungry , Mon-Friday I habe no problems but Saturday & Sunday I dont make the better choices like I do in the week...Dont get me wrong I dont gorge on cakes etc or fast food all weekend I just wish I could be strict like I am in the week...x
  • I read that having a cold shower makes u sweat more so I started having a warmer temp shower after my work out and that seems to work for me even though at that moment in time u feel u could sit in ice cold water...haha
  • I kind have to stick my hips out a little to really work my bum, I've managed to do it without anyone really noticing which is good haha, at first I looked like a robot, I can walk quite "normally" now...
  • My workouts are all class based which I prefer as I have more motivation in a group. Mon: Bodycombat & CXWORX Tues: Yoga Weds: GRIT Plyo, strentgh or cardio Thurs: Kettlebell Class Fri: Spinning Sat & Sun: Rest days
  • @TeaBea...Thanks for that, that's helpful, I'm defo not a petite senior lady and think I set my goal at losing 1lb or 2lb per week but also added that I workout 5 days for 30 minutes...
  • That's really helpful, thank you for replying! I used to eat them all but that was when I first started doing MFP and was still getting used to macros but over the last month or two I find if I eat more protein then I'm not as hungry throughout the day so I try and eat high protein foods for breakfast, lunch and tea which…
  • I attend classes as I find myself much more motivated in them but when I did try the odd workout at home I used the Fitness Blender workouts which are fabulous! Give them a go and they are free.
  • Hey, I rest at the weekend and if I feel I need to rest in the week then I will skip a class, I do tend to listen to my body, I can only fit the gym in at lunch times you see and I love going to the classes...
  • Totally bonkers that is...Im off to Marbs next Monday for my honeymoon as I get married next Saturday and I certainly havent and wont be doing this diet plan! Theres only one reason I might reduce carbs a little bit this and thats just because I tend to get bloated the more carbs I eat so I try and alternate my days by one…
