This is such a weird thing!! My father in law always comments that I look skinny and "don't get too skinny!" I lost a lot of fat from my face but my body looks great! I'm strong and still a little thick. I feel like I look just right and it makes me feel bad when people say things like that. You never forget it either.…

I wish I would have watched my weight from my twenties onward and been consistent about managing my weight long term. I wish I would have exercised consistently every week of my life rather than being a yo yo exerciser and dieter. I am now on a personal mission to age beautifully and to take care of myself as I get older.…

I too was clueless of how fat I had gotten! After 25 pounds lost I still look fat in a lot of photos! But I feel much better about what I see in the mirror. I seriously need someone to take a photo of me now and again to have a reality check. It's just difficult!
-
Reality check! That is the wake up call you needed! That is why it's good to take a solid before photo, painful as it may be.

This is super cool!

You have to stay motivated some how. You have to figure out what motivates you. I use the weight tracking tool and I measure and log my weight every day so I can see the ups and downs. If you are losing on average a pound a week that is perfectly fine! A pound is actually a lot! Plus you have to keep in mind that if you…

I was divorced, single, and a dancer. I was naturally slim during that phase of my life. I married a man who cooks heavy (delicious) food. I also stopped dancing. I picked up a lot of bad habits from my husband. I had to get him to accept that I can't just 'eat less' of his meals. That doesn't quite work for me. I also let…

Does yoga help you in other areas? For instance do you find that when you practice yoga you no longer stress eat?
-
By the way you are not alone! You have this community of people who can totally relate. Utilize us! We will help you reach your goals! The longer you change you habits the more your man is going to have to adjust and eventually he will be more supportive.

This is a tough situation but you can only change yourself. My husband eats doughnuts, honey buns, chips, and lots of candy bars. It is in the house every week! I was munching on that stuff here and there and I was putting on weight. Now I avoid 'his' foods altogether. He can eat that if he wants to! I am going to stay…

I was a stress eater too! Go back to yoga and deal with your stress and do everything you can to eliminate stress in your life! Plan ahead! Prep some food to bring with you to work. Having food ready to go, you can just grab it on your way out the door! Eat before you feel really hungry! Seriously avoid trigger comfort…

My motivation changed. After turning 40...I really want to feel my best now that my age is working against me. Working out helps me to look and more importantly feel younger. Eating healthy makes me feel even younger! I feel lighter! I'm a mom and I want to be healthy and have longevity to be here for my kids for a long…
-
You got to put that behind you and reset! Set new goals! State your motivation! Don't slip back into your old ways! You are strong person and you can start all over right now! Do it for your kids! Don't you want to live a long healthy life for them? Don't you want to be a good example for them? Imaging fitting into your…

I wouldn't expect people to say much. Drop the expectations! I asked my mother in law if she can tell that I lost some weight and she said she couldn't tell. So then I went and asked my friends and they swore they could tell. I made a big fuss and said I love you so much!!!! But as far as co workers....I think people are…

You got to hang in there! Tell yourself you are ready until you believe it. Start slow! Your body is not used to this massive change. Later on you can adjust once you feel strong! Drink lots of water! Like lots of water! When you get a craving snap your fingers and switch your thoughts, step away, call a friend, go for a…

I am hypothyroid and take levothyroxin. Sometimes I feel really tired. Like unusually tired especially after working out hard. My dr says my levels are normal for a long time now. Weight loss seems to be harder the older I get. I had better success with weight loss when I was younger. I had more energy to do HITT. Now I am…

If you don't normally wear heals but plan to the night of...(they make you look taller and thinner). Find a pair that is comfortable as you can get but still flattering (more flexible the better) Put a padded insole in the toe and arch if you have high arches. Wear the shoes and try to break them in by walking in them. If…
