  • I suggest you try the carrot and the stick routine. You can't have or do certain things unless you limit your food intake or do your exercise. I can't watch my favorite TV program unless I have taken my walk that day. Ask your husband for help....allow him to weigh you and help you with your eating habits. My husband helps…
  • I am still not losing like I want too. Therefore I am dropping down to 1,000-1,200 calories a day. I hope this helps.
  • There are good carbs and bad carbs. Good carbs (less/no sugar) give you a lot of natural energy because they are filled with good fiber. See your doctor if this continues.
  • You are definitely an inspiration to me to keep going. What I like about your statement and commitment is that I can read it over and over again to keep me focused. So congratulations and thank you for sharing your story.
  • Welcome, tell use some more about yourself. I am pretty new myself, only started in April. I hope you find this website as informative and helpful as I do.
  • I like Kashi Go Lean it offers 13g of Fiber, first thing in the morning. You can buy Chia Seeds at Nuts.com.
  • I am at 1460 because I only want to lose 1/2 - 1 pound a week. I exercise to earn more points but, I still stay around 1400. I read that if you want to weigh lets say 150 lbs you should eat 1500 a day to sustain that weight. So I follow what the program says to do if you want a less aggressive weight loss then you can…
  • Isn't it true that if we are eating correctly and exercizing really hard that muscle will build and build and as we all know muscle weighs more that body fat? I have seen in body building books that a person who wanted to lose weight and did weight lifting and calisthenics would often stay at the same weight level. They…
  • I don't drink pop anymore. I use the Wyler's flavor packets and I can take them anywhere and add them to a bottle of water. I can slice up cucumbers and put them into a half of gallon of water and have a tasty drink. This can also be done with oranges or lemons. I am just starting on this plan myself and I am still…
  • I wish you all the best...I am not as far along as you are but, I hope to be there someday soon. Good luck to you and I admire you so very much.
  • You are making the right move by coming to this website. There are so many wonderful and supportive people here to motivate you. Gaining weight is an insiduous thing....that's why I came here to learn how to eat with healthy foods and still lose. I know you are going to make it so you have the energy to take care of that…
  • I have noticed, as with any diet out there that weightloss doesn't happen right away. I believe the exercise that is done is at first "building muscle" and then the new muscle will begin to burn more calories. I read a book about a woman body-builder who won several trophies, built her body up and wears a size 10 but she…
  • Congratulations on a job welldone. You are so inspiring to me and I am going on with the diet. Thank you for sharing your before and after pictures, it really helps to see someone reach one of their goals.
  • I wasn't losing when I first started this diet. Then a counsellor mentioned that the diet works for everyone. So I reviewed my eating plan and found out that I wasn't eating enough protein calories. So I increased my protein consumption and lowered my carb intake. It worked; because I am losing again. I don't have a lot of…
  • Chia seeds can really fill you up when added to smoothies or soups. They swell up when added to liquid and help your stomach feel full. They are sold at Nuts.com if you want to try them. I don't believe they are allowed on this diet for the first 2 weeks. I don't know if we can have them after that. Hope this helps.
  • Dancer's have a special food program (diet) that helps reduce muscle and fat buildup in those areas that you are talking about. If memory serves it means increasing your protein intake plus certain exercises. Some people exercise to build muscle and that is good, so long as the muscle doesn't become too large. I hope this…

  • You look so great and healthy too. I admire you so much for going on to obtain your goals in life.
  • I have lost 50 pounds but still have another 50 to go. All the things stated here are very good advice. The one thing I use to keep myself motivated is to tell myself that for each pound lost I am getting healthier and healthier. Most diseases need sugar to live on so I have cut back considerably on sweets. Working with…
  • You and I already know what our intake is to lose weight. So if you are very active during your wedding planning you might be able to injest an additional 200-300 calories per week, not days to hold on to your current weight. So if takes a bit of juggling to even things out but, with careful watching and counting I know…
  • If you get into weight lifting with hand weights, I generally start out with the lowest one and buildup to maybe 3 lb weights. Do 10 reps each with the light and each time you switch weights. Pretty soon it will feel like you want something heavier and then you can graduate up. Always do the warmup with the lightest…
  • Have you checked out Dollar Tree...they have food in the freezer? Use Bouillon for flavoring, just one cube is not so bad and the cubes are very salty. They do have canned beans and sometimes dried beans in a package. It's hard on a budget to get fresh fruits and veggies you almost have to shop every couple of days. Since…
  • One of the things that I do if I have a hunger attack is to take a walk. Even if it's 15 minutes, it gets me away from the thought of food. I purchased an MP3 player and listen to this while I am walking. Also, we are encouraged to eat raw foods so make yourself up a plate of cut carrots, celery, grapes, cantaloupe. I use…
  • I am new to this diet and I almost always have to remind myself that my way of eating took years to adopt. It's going to take a lot of time to change my habits. So Starlopez65 you will get a lot of help here and the most important thing is to stay healthy and eat healthier foods. Even if the weight doesn't fall off fast…
  • With Summertime coming up, I like to take a banana and slice it..then lay the slices out inside a plastic bag. I freeze them and eat them like popsicles. You can also do this with grapes.
  • I use the low carb wraps as a crust for a pizza. I saw on a cooking site that some people will have a breat of chicken pounded out, to a very thin consistency and they use that for a crust. If you use the chicken, you will of course have to use a cooking spray so the meat will not stick to the pan.
  • Aren't the some people on this thread talking about a lot of sugar and honey being added as snacks? I thought there was some kind of limit to snacking with sugar and carbs that the snacks must be healthy ones?
  • Actually it was a chimichunga and I only ate half of it. I couldn't find chimichunga on the foods list so I used Burrito. The Chimichunga had chicken in it so I liked that and I ordered it without cheese. I don't eat cheese because I am Lactose intollerant. Hope this explains it.
  • I use Stevia and they have it at most Dollar Stores in the packets. I understand that it is the safest one to use....no long term side effects. I like the taste of it too.
  • Congratulations to you, that's a very good job on your part. I am just getting started and a little confused about the food program. I hate using the word diet.
