You are definitely an inspiration to me to keep going. What I like about your statement and commitment is that I can read it over and over again to keep me focused. So congratulations and thank you for sharing your story.0

Impressive results.
Even more important is the positive support that you have offered up.
Some time's brutally honest and we all need that kick in the Back Side every once in a while.Today is my 1 year anniversary logging on MFP
And although it was a challenge to get into the mindset in the beginning, looking back that has been the easiest and best year ever .. I never thought I'd say that
I feel like that fish in Nemo .. "Just keep logging"
I'm a 48 year old mother of 2 and I no longer feel middle-aged .. It's like I've been given a new lease of life and that swagger I had in my 20s .. it's back
It feels natural and normal now

Great post - especially the not feeling middle-aged part! That's what I work for daily as well. And I love your accomplishment list.0

Congratulations! I'm intrigued about how you haven't had a panic attack in ages - I get them occasionally and have noticed they've diminished a lot since I joined the gym back in February. I'm wondering if there's a correlation between fitness and panic attacks? Or if we feel more "at ease" since we're eating better/working out, we're less likely to get them? Regardless, you're an inspiration0

As a 44 year old you have just given me hope. Great job!0

Congrats! That's an awesome accomplishment. It does seem to get easier as time goes by.0

Gosh I forgot this...thanks all :bigsmile:
@schillewis
you know I think for me my anxiety was tied up with a couple of health scares including a bad bout of pneumonia that took me a year to recover from...so I lost faith in my body and would panic at odd niggles. Being fit and strong, and having a great trainer to get me over the hump of "shoot, I can't catch my breath" seems to have restored my equilibrium ...I think I believe in my body again0
