I know people make fun of it, but I honestly really like LaCroix. I don't like most of the berry flavors but the citrus ones, the cherry lime, and the blackberry cucumber are really good. I get fizz and a little flavor with no sweeteners and no calories.

Wait, I'm so confused. How is gaining muscle a bad thing? More muscle helps you burn fat, and more muscle means your body fat percentage is lower. Why in the world would anyone be upset about gaining muscle?!

Oh you guys, I am so sorry. I didn't meant to abandon this. I had a pretty awful week at work and then yesterday, my roof started leaking in the tropical storm rains.

1.8 miles with the dogs this morning. We saw a coyote who was still out hunting. It was dark when we started and still predawn when we finished, so we were out during his time. But he left us alone.

My husband and I both wear them and ours are working fine. Are you setting up for the first time or having problems after you already had the link established?

Have you tried the darker bars that have cacao percentages in the 70s and 80s?

THIS all day long and twice on Sunday! I have had five babies and while I want to be as healthy as I can be, I am never going to get all the way flat and would have to be at an unhealthy body fat percentage to get there. And I am never completely giving up pasta and fried chicken so...... Healthy is good but life is too…

My husband and I almost always eat dinner leftovers for work lunches. I usually double and triple recipes anyway (we have five children) so I have leftovers a lot. Do you eat lots of different cuisines? Because that can help with varying flavor profiles and trying ingredients you haven't had before. Some of my faves are…

When I worked out at home I liked Billy Blanks videos. Unfortunately I determined that when I can see my couch I want to sit on my couch, and exercise needs to happen somewhere else. ;)

I remember when I switched over, tracking fruit and veggies pissed me off so much! :D I came over from PointsPlus. It helped me lose 50 lbs in six months but I was tired of paying for it. MFP is great once you get used to it.

I drink to thirst and typically stay in the 3 to 4 range on that chart. I am healthy and my bloodwork, blood pressure, resting pulse etc all look great. There is no reason to force yourself to drink more than a gallon of water a day (1 gallon is 128 oz) and it could even be dangerous to do so if you are not replacing salt…

I found Ursotan and that looks like an appropriate treatment, but what is Essentials liver tonic? What are the ingredients? You need to talk to a registered dietician about how to eat for your condition. I'm shocked your doctor didn't refer you to one.

Personally I find that I have more leg/foot cramps when I don't regularly eat bananas. Apparently my body likes the potassium I get from them and complains if I go without it. So I try to eat a couple per week. Which reminds me, there are none in my house right now....

Another pre-dawn walk with the dogs today for 1.2 miles, and another 2 on the elliptical.

I never have but my hubz would be all over it since he loves molasses. His birthday is coming up, maybe I will make him one.

Right now all I want is a greasy double burger with bacon, cheddar, avocado, and mayo on a toasted bun.

Glad you are feeling better.

Just checking in here on the thread.

I made myself stay away from the giant vanilla cake in the break room last week. Someone is always putting sweets in there and it is a challenge to walk past and not have some. I just have to remind myself that it's not usually worth the calories.

I became a certified nursing assistant 8 years ago (at age 36) and during my training, one of the patients we took care of was a man who had lost parts of all 4 limbs to diabetes. He was still very overweight. He did not get out of bed until someone came in with the mechanical lift to put him in his wheelchair. He had to…

I spent yesterday cooking to get ahead for the week. Last night we ate navy bean with bacon and spinach soup, and there are leftovers portioned out for lunches. I also made Blissful Butternut Squash Soup, but only for my husband and I to take for lunches because the kids don't like it. And I made turkey pumpkin white bean…

I remember one time I had a juvenile patient in a clinic I worked at, and he was brought in by a "boot camp" counselor as he was in a residential program for troubled teens. The counselor and the kid were discussing his weight loss efforts. I offered that I had lost 50 pounds in six months, and he asked how I did it. I…
