I weigh in daily, but I don't stress about it. I just like more data points, and feel like more information leaves me with a better understanding of where I'm at and where I'm headed.

30-day login streak. Nothing compared to some of you amazing people, but it's the longest I've consistently logged on here! =)
-
My next mini-goal is to reach 163 lbs. I've been SO close the last few days, and as long as I stay on track I should get there in the next week or so!
-
I had some unexpected meals today (my roommate wanted to cook), so I had to make some adjustments to my meal entries. The NSV is that I was still able to hit my calorie goal!
-
My NSV is that my toes felt cold last night! My feet only get cold like that when I'm in a deficit.

I feel the same. I want to believe that it's this recomittment that will be the last beginning, but there have been so many times that I've felt this way that I can't help but doubt it. Most of the moments that have sparked my motivation have been seeing unexpectedly unflattering pictures or videos of myself. This time it…

My mini goal is, just for today, to stay within my calorie goal. Baby steps. I've been sidetracked by other things lately (like a lot of people), and so now I'm restarting at square one.

Your post really struck me, because it reminds me so much of my own weight loss journey. In college I lost a little bit of weight (the freshman 15, but opposite!), and was in the 130s. But in the years following, I've pretty much been bouncing around between 145 and 155. At least, until last winter when I got up to 163. I…

I took a quick look at this post - it was very insightful, thank you for sharing! A good reminder to do what works for you, as an individual.
-
Non-scale Victory! Seriously, though; I wish that the original poster had thought to include that for those who haven't yet come across the term.
-
Wait, how do you lose weight on accident? Also, well done, especially for continuing to move forward despite setbacks! I've definitely experienced some ups and downs, and it's helpful to hear that it's worth it!
-
Oh, now this looks fun. =)

Team Mystic here. I'm in Portland, Oregon - and I must say that I've walked more in the past week than I have since... I can't remember. It's fantastic. =)

I would love to join!

Basically, I try to log exercise so I can keep track of how active I am, and get back on track if I start to slack.
-
Oh, you can log them and not eat them back; I do that every once in a while. Just make sure that the number you have left over equals your workout calories (or close to them).
-
It could easily be normal weight fluctuations or water weight, I wouldn't worry or let it throw you off too much. If you feel like it's a problem, talk to your doctor!
-
Wow, that sounds difficult. =/ Are you eating back exercise calories? How active are you?

Right now I'm thinking I'll dress as a monarch butterfly - I found a butterfly wing tutorial on youtube that uses garbage bags. It actually looks really nice. Right now the plan is to TRY to make them, and if the attempt totally fails, I guess I'll start over at square 1.

:/ I've been wondering the same thing. Hopefully I don't lose track of this one before someone answers...
-
Let's see if this works.

The scale on my reports are messed up, so the 90 day one just looks like a flat line. =( Sad, but I have an app (Libra) that I use that plots really nice graphs of weight/weight loss. I'm not sure I can figure out how to post it, but if I can, I will.

I hope to go back and read more of these when I have the time! For me, CICO was really helpful. Realizing that it was all just an equation. I don't know why that didn't really click before now, but when it did...

Mornings! Probably about 6:30am to 2:00pm. Then, I have to try a little harder to stay motivated. =/
-
I'd say keep doing what you're doing. If you've lost inches, that means you've probably lost fat and gained muscle! As long as you're accurate in your logging, you should be just fine.
-
23, nearly 24! Feel free to add me. I'm a bit new, but always welcome to mutual support!

You should give it more than a week! The first week, especially, you're probably retaining water from exercise. Don't worry, it could easily be water weight, or hormones, or whatever else. It will go down if you stick to the plan, just be patient. =)
