I'm having veal ragu tonight with courgette 'spaghetti'! Can't wait!

I have alcohol still but usually on two nights a week for a total of 4-6 glasses wine a week. I used to have some most nights with dinner! Works for me.

Ending Emotional Eating. Great tips for dealing with cravings.

I REALLY want to post a little pic but I think I can't till the big day ;-)

MAJOR NSV here. I bought my wedding dress! It is absolutely beautiful. And thanks to LCHF I had the full choice of every dress in the shop and everything looked fantastic. Now I just have to keep on track for another 10 months ;-)

I got a lot out of the book Ending Emotional Eating. It explains a lot about mindfulness, dealing with urges and making choices that fit in with your goals. I recommend it for those that hit the wall (I did too)

Mmmmm now it's getting colder here I will get my crockpot out again. Anyone got any LCHF recipes for salmon fillets? I have 4 hanging around here!

Interesting one. I ate SAD for about 10 days during my holidays and my face was like a PIZZA when I got back. Acne was back sooooo bad. A week on LCHF and it's almost back to clear. My body does NOT like carbs it seems

I'm with you Ang. 126 days in and the struggle is REAL. Horrible stage of fear and making bad choices.
-
Ps mine will definitely be had with black coffee!!
-
No idea, but good luck! I am tempted to try one once I have the house to myself this week as I have been making bad choices too! How many a day is your goal?

They will very likely take a rental reference from someone back home - just get a name, number and email address for your last landlord. Most people get around the rental reference (if they can) by putting up 6 months rent in advance. Your company may provide an interest free loan for that if it's a problem.

Mine went some pretty weird shapes as I lost weight. Sort of lumpy. It seems to sort itself out periodically though.

I'm getting excited about colder weather so I can get my slow cooker going. The idea of a meal ready when I get home from work is appealing and it's a good way to use cheaper cuts of meat than I like in summer. Soups to take to work too for lunch.

Fiance this morning put on a t-shirt that a year ago was obscenely tight - and it fitted perfectly. I've been eating LCHF for 15 weeks and when we eat together in the evening he has what I have - but where I have salad for lunch he has a sandwich. Who'd have thought cutting his carbs for one meal a day would have an…

Realising the 'emergency' dark chocolate bar I carry with me (in case I get super hungry and want to make a bad choice) has been in my backpack untouched for a month now! Guess that emergency just isn't gonna happen (but I'll keep it there anyway!)

I'm more or less eating one meal a day these days with some nuts and protein snacks (I don't call a chicken breast a meal!!). I have dinner with my fiancé every night so I've been gradually cutting down the other eating outside that meal.
-
Also a cheat for me would be up to 100g carbs. No more than that.
-
Most people here who go in for 'cheats' have a cheat MEAL rather than a cheat DAY. I don't like the mentality of cheating so I work it into my plan by eating less at other meals, doing more exercise and logging the meal in question.

For me when I started I found it helpful to eat LCHF foods in abundance for a couple of weeks to get in the swing. Not much in the way of counting. Then knuckle down!
-
After about 10 weeks I found it really easy to go in and out. I now do it once or twice a week for eating with friends and family but I don't go wild and I only let it last for one meal.

A 1.2lb loss after what I thought was a blow-out weekend was my high. That and going out with the girls and managing to eat a salad with salmon and feeling really satisfied and good afterwards.

Apparently one of the big indicators for success when dieting (can't remember where I read it) is simple meals and quite repetitive. If you face yourself with a big choice every time you eat you are likely to get tempted or off track. I eat out quite often (maybe 3-4 meals per week) so the rest of the time I have about…

When I was struggling I just kept it simple for a couple of weeks. I mainly had salmon and egg or chicken and egg salad for every lunch and burger with cheese and veggies every dinner. It helped a lot with taking away choice but it might get boring for you and your family!!

Are cheese curds keto?!

Jack Links is another good brand

I have to agree with sweettea - the scale is a great learning instrument and I have found counting to be a great way to find out what sort of foods are fulfilling for me while still fitting into my calories for the day. BPC didn't work for me but loads of protein and fat and low carb veggies do. I went through some very…

Bundu brand in the UK (maybe elsewhere?) is great

What's the difference between an immersion blender and a regular one?

I think you'll find after a period of recovery you can maybe tolerate more carbs without ill effects. I certainly can. See how it goes!
