  • Thank you all for your suggestions. I've been weight watching for years and have been able to keep a handle on my weight by weighing myself once a week and when I see a weight gain, I watch what I eat and then i use to be able to lose it in time. This time, however, it seems much harder. I think the answer is to get back…
  • Having a real hard time. I'm 68 and it's not that I don't know what the problem is. First, I have a husband who wants to go out for dinner or lunch every weekend. I could say no, but he gets bored and wants to get out of the house. Truthfully, I get bored too. Secondly, my appetite is pretty strong. I'm ok until I get home…
  • I use to be 145 lbs many years back. right now I am about 132 according to the drs scale but I weigh myself every Thursday and go by that number to keep track, which is 127. I've yoyo'd up to let's say 128 (my scale number) and then something clicks in my head that I need to get back down. I was about 123. It's hard even…
  • I think that stress is ONE of the triggers. When confronted with an issue, I mindlessly go to the pantry to eat something to help. The gratification is short lived. Then the guilt sets in and I get angry at myself. I also think that I've gotten into a habit of eating after work. Just head right for the frig or pantry.…
  • I made the weight watchers veggie soup so I'm going to try that after work. I have about 5 lbs i would like to lose just finding it more difficult to start this time around. I usually try not to put on more than 5. Thank you for your suggestions. It really helps to talk about it.
  • I have a couple of vegetable soup recipes loaded with veggies. Have to start them up again also.
  • I know the fiber bars aren't great for you. I do get the low carb ones, but still not great because of the sugar alcohols in them. Before that though I was eating a ton of cheese with pretzels. Worse! Maybe I'll try the low fat Greek yogurt. And I am healthy, but just not where I want to be on the scale. Plus an extra 4…
  • PS I have to admit, I eat more than what is put in my diary. Although not purposely.
  • Here I am again 10/2/19 with the same problem. Once I get started, I'm okay, but I put on about 4 lbs. Would like to lose 5. Some people may say big deal, but it is extremely hard to lose 5 lbs. Same problem, starving after work. Bought fiber bars and end up having 2. I have an apple at work which helps, but again when I…
  • Also weigh myself the same day every week and the same time.
  • Sometimes you need a jump start. I did very well by eating one no no meal in a week. My weakness is pizza, so I allow myself 2 slices a week on a Friday night, then good all week. Think this type of thing jump starts your weight loss as long as you are on track all week.
  • I make a sugar free pudding pie. keebler reduced fat pie crust 4 oz low fat cream cheese Fat free milk - 2 tablespoons for bottom layer + 2 cups for pudding center Sprinkle of Splenda 2 small boxes of Sugar Free, Fat free pudding (your choice of flavor, but I like chocolate fudge) Cool whip light Mix cream cheese, 2…
  • I've been a weight watcher all my life and I don't mean going to "Weight Watchers". I exercise 3 times a week and include cardio and weights in my workout. Generally, I am very healthy, knock on wood. I've always had weight issues, but generally stayed between 122 - 135. I am now close to the upper portion and I need to…
  • I've been back to this site since November, lost a few, then gained it back. The thing is, I log in my planned meals, but then I eat more than what I logged in. I do not eat any cookies, cake or candy, but I over eat before dinner and at dinner. It's always a battle. Don't give up though, I'm not.
  • Only if you eat too much of it.
  • so, I started over again after gaining some weight after my daughters wedding. I was 122 lbs and very happy, but it crept back up in a matter of a year. No excuse as far as losing a loved one, just the normal stress of life. When I started again, what I was doing was logging in my food the day after which of course doesn't…
  • As boring as it sounds, eat plain Oatmeal every day with a little cinnamon. Helps with Cholesterol levels and it is filling.
