  • I have read every single page (skimming all the replies of course). I'm down 33 of 60ish pounds and have found certain things to be true: 1. If you aren't really ready, it's not going to happen. I kept trying for years and years on this hopeless yo-yo...but until it finally "clicked", nothing ever stuck. I had to WANT it,…
  • Visiting my bestie June 28...Wanna be in a healthy BMI for the first time since 2012 - only 5 lbs to go! Last time she saw me I was in the obese category!
  • oatmeal with cheese and a sunny side up egg!
  • Since altering my diet a bit, there have been some cool change. The sweet foods are sweeter. I had a fresh bunch of grapes the other day and just about went to heaven. In comparison, a bite of my husband's lucky charms wasn't disgusting so much as ...overwhelming? Too much sugar, and the sticky artificial kind too. Salty…
  • Sure thing!
  • My running list is like 10 hours worth of music. Here's a snapshot: Dude looks like a lady - aerosmith Like Woah - Aly & AJ Pump It - Black Eyed Peas IDGAF - Breathe Carolina Get off Of My back and You Can't take Me - Bryan Adams One More Time - Daft Punk Kissable - Diamond Rio Move Your Body - Eiffel 65 Back For More -…
  • Today I'm proud of myself for working out when I woke up an hour before my alarm went off instead of laying in bed trying to squeeze in more sleep...three days in a row! Tired, but satisfied.
  • These are so neat! Went ahead and got one to try out. Thanks so much!
  • My husband and I have been together for about 4 years, all of them with me binging. I do the grocery shopping and he's not very observant so as long as I clean up after myself, he doesn't notice. I just "told" my husband tonight, after he saw me looking at this group. It was more just a comment in passing and didn't lead…
  • Hi, I'm Aundrea. According to the test posted, I qualify as a moderate binge eater. I get this antsy, borderline panicky need to shovel food into my mouth. At work and at home. Usually it's when I am not immediately preoccupied by work or a project, leading me to believe it's from boredom. I'm not sure when it started -…
  • Our favorite way to have pretty much any fish: Mix a tablespoon of lite mayo with lots of spices, slather it on and bake for like 10 minutes. Takes the fishy taste away, gives it a nice moist sauce, and if you want a little crunch, sprinkle the top with panko crumbs or cornmeal just before putting in the oven. Adds maybe…
  • I just wanna be back to where I was in high school/early college. I was 5'2" then and haven't grown a centimeter since, or had kids...118-125 with at least a little abs visible! Smack dab in the middle of "healthy". I felt great about myself back then, and can't wait to have the confidence of a teenager again.
  • My personal rule of thumb: 1 c before morning exercise, 1-2 during exercise, 2-3 before noon, 3 from noon to dinner, and 3 after dinner. If I get up early, I can get another cup or so in. Sometimes I put lemon slices in just for variety. When I get too distracted and forget, I don't try to chug and catch up. I just keep…
  • Don't think of it as a "diet". It's a change in lifestyle. Make small alterations one at a time until they snowball into being how the new you wants to eat and exercise. How do you feel about diet sodas? If you can't stand them, just gradually lessen the amount of soda that you drink. However much you drink in soda a day,…
  • Hi! I'm 22 and getting married next October. One of friends on here is, as well. I have 50lbs to lose before then (puting me at 120 for 5'2"). I have been in the same boat as you - yoyo dieting on and off for years trying to keep the weight from school away, but I would get bored or exhausted and it would all come crashing…
  • I just made ceviche with them earlier this week. Poach them the night before for 2-3 minutes, soak with lemon juice over night. Toss with garlic oil, tomatoes, and extra lemon if you want. We ate it on a bed of spinach with feta, no dressing needed. Low cal, high protein and pretty simple.
  • If you do steady state exercise all the time, (supposedly) your body gets used to it and you don't burn as many calories. HIIT is meant to combat that and make your actually burn the calories it says you do. I'm by no means an expert and this is just what I understand. But people love HIIT and variety is the spice of life,…
  • It depends on what your diet looks like. I use it pretty often because I don't eat a lot of meat - usually just dinner. If you feel like you need the filler, go for it. If not, don't bother. We get a giant tub from Target/Walmart for like 18 and it lasts us about a month. It's not that bad. By the way, body fortress…
  • THESE. Also they can cause a constipation, nausea, and make your stool look weird (tarry-green). I was so badly anemic that before they drew my blood, they thought I had allergies because I was so tired and couldn't ever seem to catch my breath (I was 4. Normal is at least 12 for women. Though I never got a transfusion…
  • That's okay. Most of the stuff is stupid easy. Browse and feel free to PM me if you're interested. I'll look at your stuff too!
  • Would love to! My dinners are mostly handmade recipes, and I don't know how to share those, but I would be more than happy to!
  • My favorite thing right now is to make baked cinnamon sugar apples. Just chop and apple and toss it with as much sugar as you want (or will fit into your daily goals) and pop it into the oven. If you have a few more cals to spare, add skim milk and a little flour to make a more pudding-y sauce to go with it.
  • We are paying for the whole thing, as far as we know. If we were to have it in PA, we would place it equidistant from both his family and mine, that way travel is equal for both sides and no one will complain. My family would never make it to a true destination wedding without much help from us in terms of money because…
  • *edited for clarity* All of your comments have been helpful! The wedding won't be big (max 80 people) even if we DO have it close to all the guests.
  • My family says "It's your wedding, do what you want and be happy". His family says "We want it here."
  • Here's what we had tonight: 300g boneless skinless chicken breast, 100g onion, 200g bell pepper, 14.5oz canned diced tomatoes. Season as you like and cook all the veggies down until almost all the water is gone. Served with 42g (weight dry) brown rice. It's crazy filling with lots of fiber. Technically the recipe is…
  • I can't think of a comment that isn't a variation of "hot damn" so I'll just leave it at that.
  • This isn't what others are suggesting. It's not an instructional book or an advice book or a cookbook - it's the story of a woman trying to lose weight, and all of the real-life struggles that go with it. "Such a Pretty Fat: One Narcissist's Quest to Discover If Her Life Makes Her *kitten* Look Big, or Why Pie Is Not the…
  • Thanks for the correction! Imperial Units aren't friendly for conversion.
  • 8 stone is what, 113 lbs? If you are between 1.4 and 1.6m that's already a normal weight. If you don't have much weight to lose, .5lb a week is a healthy goal to set. Everyone else is right about weight fluctuations and being patient.
