  • I have had this problem for almost 2 weeks now. The weird thing is that my food entries in MFP are showing up in my FitBit app, so they're connecting in some way. I have deleted and reinstalled both apps as well as a complete iPhone update. My settings have not changed and I still have step tracking enabled through the fit…
  • This is exactly what I was wondering/looking for. Thank you!
  • I get a good portion of protein from my vegan smoothie every morning: 1.5c frozen strawberries 1/2 medium banana 1c unsweetened vanilla almond milk 1 tbsp ground flax seed 3/4 scoop of Vega proteins and greens vanilla protein powder 20g of protein. You could get a bit more protein by adding a whole scoop.

  • It may be because of how your activity level is set?
  • Yeah, this is so weird! Glad I'm not the only one. It does seem like just keeping those numbers dropping is the only thing that helps. I feel lucky that my stomach is going so quickly, but I wish my inner thighs would catch up. It's even dispersed differently within my thighs. For example I love the way my quads and outer…
  • That usually happens if you work out earlier in the day, and then come home and become sedentary. But the adjustments will also go up if you aren't sedentary post work out.
  • First of all, you look AMAZING! So beautiful and fit! I agree though, I'm surprised at how many people are unhappy. When I look on Fitbay.com or the body gallery website I see how different my same height and weight can look on different people. It's all about body composition, I think. For example right now I'm 5'4 and…
  • oops, quoted the wrong person.
  • This image helped me when I started losing weight and after 15 lbs nobody had noticed... As I moved along in my journey and started to learn more about overall health and fitness, I wanted to make sure I was doing everything the natural way. I eat cleanly, and while I'm not vegan, I eat very little animal products. I have…
  • Don't forget that you can do more than just running on a treadmill. You can walk on a steep incline, side shuffle, etc.
  • 5'4, 220 to 168. Goal weight is 145, so 23 lbs to go.
  • I've stopped having cheat days, and instead I just have a "treat meal" once or twice a week. It's really easy to stay on track during the week, and I know it's very likely that my boyfriend and I will go out to eat on Friday and Saturday nights. I eat healthy the rest of Friday and Saturday, so the one or two "treat meals"…
  • I'm 31, 5'4" and currently eating around 1400-1500 per day. It usually ends up netting less than that because of my workouts, but I don't eat many calories back. Been losing 1-1.5 lbs per week. When I thought I was done the first time I was maintaining at around 1800-2000 per day with workouts (not eating any back).
  • This thread is so interesting!! I'm 5'4" 1/4 and I also have a goal weight of 145. I'm currently 169 and wearing size 10 in pants. When I started out I was 220 and wore a size 16.
  • Oh nice! What kind of yogurt do you put in it? I never thought of doing that, but I'm sure it would add to the creaminess. Yum!
  • Do you have access to a gym? You might be able to do one-legged rows on the machine, although I wouldn't advise that for more than a week or so. Some gyms also have the arm bicycle.
  • I have a strawberry banana smoothie every morning, and it's seriously the best way to start my day. I drink that, along with a cup of coffee with a little bit of unsweetened almond milk and stevia extract. Gets me through the morning, and even if I start feeling hungry before lunch I usually have a piece of mozzarella…
  • I use stevia extract, which is just the liquid form of stevia. I started using it because powder stevia wouldn't really dissolve in my cold coffee drinks that well. The key is to find the right brand, as some are more potent than others and have an after taste.
  • I have wondered this so often because I usually only feel satiated for about an hour after eating, and then I'm hungry again. After having another good friend lose weight with me and do the same intensity of workouts I was starting to feel like something was wrong with me. I constantly felt hungry, and I was worried that I…
  • Like others have said, cheat meals usually work out better, and you end up consuming less calories in a full week than if you had an entire cheat day. That also makes it more flexible in case something pops up on a day that's not your designated cheat day.
  • Thank you so much for posting this pic. I'm 5'4" 1/2 and have wondered what my goal weight should be. I'm around 170 now, and originally had the goal of 135, but the more I lost weight the more extreme that goal seemed. I work out quite a bit and carry a lot of muscle, especially in my legs. It looks like you are very…
  • What an athlete!
  • This seems to be my biggest battle... trying to stay under my calorie limit. I feel like I'm always hungry. I know how to portion control, I know how to count my calories and macros, my nutrients. I've been at this for a couple of years now and successfully lost weight, but I still want to lose more. Lots of people have…
  • Yeah sure, maybe that's the designated work times, but teachers have so many obligations that are not part of the normal school day, after school clubs and tutoring (which may include weekends), grading, lesson planning. None of those things can get done during the school day because you're actually teaching. And then…
  • That's what I'm hearing too, and I'm starting the routine from "Thinner, Leaner, Stronger" by Michael Matthews next week. I'll be lifting 3 days per week, and I'm also cutting out sugars and dairy from my diet. I successfully lost 52 lbs with cardio and basic strength training, but my body definitely got used to it, and…
  • This is really exciting to see! I'm starting the program from Michael Matthew's "Thinner, Leaner, Stronger" and I'm excited to see the results!
  • 5'4 1/2. Beginning weight was around 220, current weight is 168. Goal weight is 145.
  • It's not? I must be reading something wrong then. Thanks anyway for your support and encouragement. It's always good to empathize with others who share in your struggles and successes. Be well.
  • And my point was that I don't consider it necessary, just something fun that I want to try. To me a paleo type of eating just involves a diet consisting of mainly lean proteins, healthy fats, and veggies. Limited fruits at the right times.
  • Well, I haven't changed my routine besides being MORE active actually since I'm not on summer break anymore. But I think maybe what people are suggesting with getting a food scale to be more accurate could work. Like I've stated already I do 4-5 days a week of an hour long boot camp style work out. I can't devote too much…
