  • While I only use 1tbsp a day each time I try it, I notice the same thing. It doesn't keep me full at all, and I feel I end up eating more in the mornings if I add it to my americano. And for 126 calories in a tbsp, I'd rather use that eating something good. Like more cheese.

  • Ha! I ordered the lemon oil yesterday after I found that recipe. Planned on making them once the oil is delivered. Good to know on the cake part being a bit dry - I can't wait to make these now!
  • Rest, foam roller, more rest, compression socks could also help, and more foam rolling. I dealt with calf tendonitis for a couple months, and all those things (plus PT, but that wouldn't be necessary for just a strain) helped them heal.
  • If I don't feel like drinking espresso before I head to work, I'll stop at one of the coffee shops on the way in and pick up an iced americano with sf vanilla syrup and add some half n half to it (I know people do HWC, but it's got way too many calories for me). I think Starbucks also has sf caramel syrup that you can do…
  • Mine is open, and I've been pretty on point for logging the past month. Feel free to friend me or look at it :).
  • Been on keto for over a month now - never felt better tbh. I would suggest joining this group: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/394-low-carber-daily-forum-the-lcd-group
  • 2c almond flour (or 1/2c coconut flour - but I used almond) 1/4c Swerve confectioners sweetener (just grind up granular if that's what you have) 1/2tsp baking powder 1/2tsp sea salt 1c unsweetened almond milk 2tbsp melted unsalted butter 4 eggs (7 if you use coconut flour) 1tsp vanilla extract Mix dry and wet separately,…
  • Tried a new pancake recipe this morning and they turned out amazing. Every other one I've tried has been more like a crepe, but these were actually fluffy. Eggs with smoked salt (mostly made in case I didn't like the cakes), and a browned butter sauce.
  • Breakfast this morning. I realized how boring it looked after taking the photo so I added some chives before eating. Leftover crock pot shredded beef, over easy eggs, and fresh grated parmesan. Kept me full until dinner!
  • Started my 4th week today, down 10lbs (water weight mostly), and feel awesome. I never went through keto flu, but I also take magnesium and potassium supplements every day, as well as a BCAA (two scoops a day if I'm working out, one on rest days). No cravings, which is odd for me, but also awesome. I do make sure to have…
  • I've been going 4-5 times a week since one by my apartment opened in September of last year. For me, I like the structure. I've tried doing the workouts at home if I couldn't get into a class, or was short on time, and I didn't like it. I'm not self motivating when I'm in the gym alone, and it was really too hard to try…
  • Seattle, WA here!
  • Another vote for Bodyfit by Amy! She has really great workouts that are challenging, but short (usually around 30min).
  • Definitely depends on your location. I pay $129/mo for an unlimited membership. But I got in on a new studio so it's a founders rate. My husband just signed up right before the new year and pays $149/mo - which included a $10 discount for a family membership. We're in Seattle btw. I know bigger cities like NYC are over…
  • Pasta sauces... too easy to make at home. I've been making my own pasta lately as well. It's a little more labor intensive, and the flour makes a mess, but it just tastes super fresh. Unless it's ravioli. I haven't figure that one out yet. I can make bread, but we use it so sparingly that I'd rather just buy a loaf and be…
  • I do OrangeTheory classes 4-5 days a week (usually 5 if I have the time). During the winter/spring I have one rest day, and the day I'm not at OTF we're snowboarding. In the summer and fall that day is taken up by hiking. No other gym stuff or workouts outside of those.
  • Yeeeep. Usually for just a day or two before it starts. Last night, I went to my OrangeTheory class, and ended up at the burger shop next to it. Double cheeseburger and an oreo milkshake (no fries... watching my calories and all that). It was delicious and just what I wanted, and I ate all of it with no regrets. Today,…
  • No picture for me - it would've been super boring anyways. But I had a pouch of Chicken of the Sea tuna, with mayo, on a whole wheat english muffin. And maybe a slice of sheet cake because it was delicious :).
  • Speaking of the North Cascades - Blue Lake is an awesome little hike. It's easy (1050ft elevation gain) , short (4 1/2 miles), and the lake is beautiful, even when frozen over. This was from the first week of November, and I know HWY 20 is now closed for the season, so you'll only get there by foot/skis. It'll be well…
  • Always evenings - late morning on the weekends. I have a 30-40min bus ride to work, plus a half mile walk from the bus stop to the office, and try to be in no later than 8:30a, so if I were to go in the mornings I would be asleep at my desk by 11a. I also only do OrangeTheory classes which I book a month out at a time, so…
  • I was about 400 over my calorie goal for today (plus the extra exercise calories from this mornings class). No regrets, and I may even have another slice of chocolate cake (no pumpkin here!). It's the one day of the year I make most of this stuff, so I'm gonna indulge. Plus, I'll get a nice burn on tomorrow's 8 mile hike…
  • Feel free to add me! I usually do about 2,000 a day!
  • @cassiekimbrough104 - between 1900-2000 generally. I log my exercise in as well, which puts my range up to about 2600/cal a day, but I really try to never do that.
  • Usually breakfast (it's my favorite meal of the day!) - normally ends up being 500 calories or so... This morning for example it was 2 sunny side up eggs, half of a whole grain english muffin, 3 of those small brown n' serve sausages, 2 cuties, and a vanilla latte. That'll keep me awake and fueled up until about noon.…
  • Also gotta go with the Halo Top! It can be a little hard to find (though Whole Foods always carries it), but it's sooo good. PixelPuff is right about some of the flavors being 'meeeh' - I don't like the cookies & cream - but some I like better than regular ice cream. Strawberry is the absolute best, followed by Mint Chip.…
  • I can't stand the taste of coffee, but love espresso. I use our Nespresso during the week (and buy it from a coffee shop on the weekends), and always use two shots, a cup of 2% Probiotic milk, and 2 pumps of french vanilla syrup. Not the healthiest, but it's the one 'food' item I will not give up or alter. I've tried skim…
  • I've even doing it for a few weeks and I love it! It's a total butt kicker, but I'm always really motivated and it goes by so fast. I have the unlimited package and so far have it setup for 5 days a week. The only days I dread are Endurance days. We had that today and I thought I was going to barf.
