Me too! Go team!

Congratulations and I hope the surgery goes really well! Your workout schedule looks very similar to my goal workout schedule. I must be moving in the right direction!

- Took about 6 months off MFP and just caught up with reading through this thread. Yall are amazing, thank you for sharing your NSVs! - I didn't make any of my fitness goals that I started out with for 2017, but I did have 2 surgeries and completed a sprint triathlon with a faster time than the year before. - I've spent…

It's easier to fit all of me under an umbrella!

I tried jogging and cycling for the first time since surgery. Went well! I'm definitely going to have to take things slow, I'm just so happy to be moving :)

Congratulations! One of my sprint tri training buddies last year pointed out that if it wasn't for the swimming there'd be a lot more triathletes :) Happy training! I'm looking forward to training for an Olympic.

Thank you for volunteering! Your efforts and care are much appreciated!

Just had my one month post-op appointment. The surgeon says in 2 weeks I'll have no physical restrictions! "That way you can start training for a marathon" he joked. I told him I'd actually like to train for a half marathon and an Olympic Triathlon later this year but wasn't sure if that was feasible as I'll need another…

I'm non-binary and just had top surgery. Feel free to contact me. Best!

Maybe the being cold thing all the time gets better over time? Maybe it takes awhile for the body to adjust?
-
That's awesome! Well done and enjoy your half marathon training!

Thank you for sharing your story!

Your goals do not look sad next to anybody's goals! I'm not a distance runner, but I would never judge another person's goals, and a fun run every month is especially admirable in my book. I hope you have fun with your goals and happy new year :)

Great thread! I'm working towards everything listed below, without a specific timeline for completion. This past year I didn't meet my stated goal (pull up), but accomplished other things I didn't anticipate (sprint triathlon, 10k), so I'm feeling really flexible as long as I'm moving forward. I'm looking forward to: - An…

There are lots of videos on YouTube for exercising while seated or without having to get out of bed. Moving your arms without stopping can get tiring fast (swim upward motion, treading water, seated boxing, etc.). Best of luck! Recovery can be challenging, especially moving slow if you're not used to it, but you're worth…

Thank you for posting this question and starting this thread. I've really enjoyed reading about other people's experiences and learning from their advice. I don't have specific advice regarding the anxiety, other than in my experience it doesn't disappear over night. The anxiety decreases as the confidence becomes…

So now to own some of my fabulousness... As I've been recovering from surgery for the past three weeks and I probably won't be allowed to exercise for another month, this is a reflective 2016 NSVs post: 1. My goal for this year was to do a pull up for the first time ever. That didn't happen. But I did train for and…

I had surgery at the beginning of December and I've used a lot of my sit-around-and-heal time to read every single post in this thread since the beginning of summer (I'm calling that a NSV, by the way!). It's been said before, but it's worth saying again: you all are amazing! Which is why I propose this challenge: OWN YOUR…

Recovering from surgery, and once I'm allowed to exercise again, to really listen to my body so I don't push too fast.

If they don't have a store near you I still recommend checking out titlenine.com. I've only bought from them for years (D and E sizes).

Thank you. My goal is to compete in my first fitness competition in May. I want to inspire people, especially fellow stroke survivors, to believe in themselves, and never give up on their dreams despite all of the obstacles they may encounter. [/quote] That's a great goal! I hope you keep posting and sharing about your…

I think a bit more than "started" to develop :) Awesome work. What is your goal?

Thats exactly what I've done for the past year. I've learned that I can maintain without counting calories, but I usually need to count if I'm going to loose. For maintenance I give myself a five pound window that I aim to stay in the middle of. If I go over, it's back to counting calories. If I go under, I revise my five…

I feel the same way. I usually flip it. "Oh no, I've gained!" Then list some things I'm stoked about. My mile time is better, I'm stronger, new clothes. I try to have fun with it.
-
Yes! I completely understand. I haven't figured out how to deal with it.

1. Signed up for a 12 week triathlon training program a week ago. 2. Decided that since I've been maintaining/very slow progress since January that I wouldn't track my food or weight until after the program. Just focus on enjoying the ride and feeling good. 3. Had to go to the doc for something completely unrelated and she…

Love this! :)

What JagZag said! Congratulations and I hope you have fun on your new adventures! If you haven't already, make sure your seats are adjusted properly for your height. I commute by bike and ride regularly. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. I might not have the answers, but I can help point you in the…

Thank you for sharing! "Just eat what you love, just less. Do what you love, just more." Well said!

Congratulations on your multiple NSVs!
