I do them Monday thru Friday. Usually a mile 3 times a day...works better with my schedule that way. The soreness will get less and your stamina will improve if you stick with it. I started with 5 or 10 minutes and increased it every few days

I too am 5'11 and 45 yrs old. So far I've lost a little over 40 pounds . I started at 334 and currently am 291. Still have a long way to go but confident I will get there this time. Feel free to add me

Im 5'11 and your post made me smile. I was always asked about basketball, hounded by short little ladies to get things off the top shelf at the grocery store, and always hunted for pants that didn't end above my ankles...Lol. Feel free to add me

I am sorry for your loss. I've been thru it twice myself. I have 100 + to lose...so far im down just shy of 40 lbs. New friends are always welcome. Feel free to add me

For me it's mindset. My brain says I hate exercise. I dread it. In September I started back exercising but instead of thinking I need to exercise I think of it as my me time. It's the time where the only thing that matters is me. I focus on relieving stress and how good I will feel when finished. 3 months in I look forward…

I love my Garmin. Feel free to add me CastleWilhite is my name on Garmin.

Leslie Sansone has great videos for walking at home and building strength. I use them daily and really enjoy them

I use the vivofit 3. I like that I can wear it swimming and only have to replace the battery once a year. My friend has a fit bit and she forgets to charge it frequently.

I have a similar weight loss goal. For me if I focus on the big number it overwhelms me. I'm taking it 10 lbs at a time. I use Leslie sansone walking & strength videos because I can be at home and it's not hard on my joints. (I don't like to jiggle in public...lol).

Oh no not doing the exercise for weight loss or to gain more calories. Just doing it for the health benefits and because it is making me feel better
-
Love my garmin. Never have to charge it and it's waterproof so I don't have to take it off. My friend has a fit bit and it seems like a hassle

I used to drink a lot of soda. I started drinking black coffee at work and I will have one can of my favorite soda in the evening as a treat. I'm finding I often forget to have it now

I am so sorry for your loss. I've lost two myself.

I too have 100+ pounds to go. Trying to get back on it after some time away. Could always use more friends...feel free to add me

I love my vivofit...I never have to remove it. I have a friend with a fit bit she has to charge hers and often forgets about putting it back on. I wear mine in the shower with no issue and I can change the bands easily (I get bored easy) . It was an excellent purchase
-
I have a vivo fit. Was under 80 bucks. I like it because you never have to charge it and you can wear it in the shower with no damage. I can sync to my phone or computer.

I'm a licensed esthetician...wraps are good for a short term effect and results will vary . They are not a long term or ongoing fix

One thing I do when I know I want desert is layer Graham crackers strawberries and low fat cool whip. I do 2 or 3 layers and put in the fridge over night. A lower calorie treat than mashing up and adding a ton of sugar to the berries. For easy strawberry shortcake

I too have 100 plus to loose... if anyone needs friends feel free to add me. I'm on here every day
-
I'm so sorry for your loss. My guess is your calories are way too low and perhaps your body is holding on to the weight because of that
-
Thank you all I think your right. I have a lot to loose and I think my focus was on flooding the most I could and not really what would be effective and realistic
-
Thank you for the info
-
Wow congrats for being so close to your goal :)
-
I will typically do a 10 min mile at lunch that leaves me 20 min to eat or relax.
-
I have a vivofit and never take it off...I've done dishes and submerged it. Haven't used it swimming yet but I heard you can. And you don't have to charge the battery. Love it
-
Absolutely love mine
-
Welcome  feel free to add me. My first goal is to loose 50 lbs...about half way there

Feel free to add me CastleWilhite

I also work a desk job. I keep a set of dumbbells next to my desk. When I'm not typing I take a couple of minutes and use my dumbbells. I get a 30min lunch. I walk a 10 to 12 min mile and then take lunch or a snack to my desk for the other 15 min. I do another 10 to 12 min mile after work. There are ways to work fitness in…

I also have a vivofit and absolutely love it . I have a lazy nature but the red line bugs me enough to get me up and moving . I like that I dont have to charge it. It tracks my sleep as well as my steps. I wish I could find more people who use it. Would be nice to have more friends on that site . I recommend it to everyone…
