Firstly 30 mins of jump rope is extremely high intensity...until you get so good at it that it would become extremely low intensity, from muscle memory and technique. Also that much cardio (when its high intensity) will give you huge appetite and you'll mostt likely eat the 500 calories back. Its a great exercise, but use…

Be careful with too much cardio- appetite multiplier! Get plenty of recovery time in too, or what your doing wont be sustainable. Enjoy the journey, dont rush it. :)

Anyone got favourites that work well with orthotics?

Weight loss is simple mathematics. Calories in/calories burned. BUT the more muscle you have the more calories you burn even at rest, and of course getting those muscles will burn off calories. But a real good workout's calorie burn can be more than ruined with even a small binge meal.

What? This is science straight out of the 1970's- lol Calories in/calories burnt, is the only thing that matters in weight loss. Eat too much fruit (or anything) and you gain weight, eat less than you need and you lose weight. For weight loss purposes it matters not what you eat- pure lard, leanest beef, potatoes, or mars…

Anytime, just try to do the same time every time.

If you don't calorie count (even in some informal way), there is absolutely no point in exercising for weight loss.
-
Forgot t say- I was looking at Moov, which seems good, but apparently doesn't work well with MyFitnessPal.

There are vegan options for most popular meals in MFP. You shouldnt enter the meat version, as often quite different (especially protein) nutrients.

I dont think so. (The true meaning of) Vegan means you dont exploit animals. A side effect of this, of course, is that you dont consume any animal products. Anything else is just a 'plant based diet' or vegetarianism or whatever trendy diet you like ;)

There are no shortcuts. Reassess your reasons to lose weight and get working.

Any part of an animal, see how your health improves. B)

Its just a guide. It will be in the ballpark, if you are consistent with your input.

Sorry, not sure if this is a serious question, but no, I would just soak them,-or sprout them, even better.

Well, there's no 'cannot' if you want to, you do. It's not really something you have to do strictly. There are 'rawtil4' and other versions where you eat raw part of the day, or in stages etc. But, have you tried raw broccoli? It's delicious! Even my kids, who are not the best veg eaters, love it raw! The point is, in eg.…

Well in the context of this site I guess there are 2 answers, but really there's only 1 answer. Vegans are against all animal use or exploitation. Which of course means that they don't consume any animal product. In the 'borrowed' meaning of the word, vegan means eating a plant based diet. The point of the first (true)…

Hi. I am a vegan, but just joined MFP to lose some weight. I want to kick out most or preferably all the processed foods, sauces and breads. Then move to a much more raw food diet. I don't see what the big issues against raw food diet are (actually the same old tired excuses- a good one about raw food means you can't get…

Hi all- overweight vegan here too! I have just joined and committed to do something. I am aiming for 24 kilos/53 pounds off. For me it's cutting out or down on the processed foods, sauces and breads. I want to go over as much as possible to a raw food diet. Anyone else trying raw food diet?
