Good week overall. Down 1.6 lbs BF. Lean mass decreased a bit more than I was looking for so my metabolism doesn’t slow down. Looking to be on track to hit my first weight/bf% goal next week!

Went on vacation a couple weeks ago and gave myself permission to gain up to 5#s. I gained 4... so not too bad. This week, I lost 3.8#s and 1% of body fat. Almost back to pre-vacation weight, and BF% is lower, so I’ll call that a win.

I had a thought about cravings recently - like how to figure out the difference between cravings and hunger - and I came to recognize, for myself, that I can tell the difference between hunger and a craving by asking myself if a healthy option, like a salad, would be satisfying... if the answer is no, I’m dealing with a…

Walking to work is great! I used to have a nice walking commute - but now I work from home so I just walk across the hall! Fortunately, the 🐶 and I still run errands like walking to the post office everyday, which helps.

Hiya Goat, I’ve been using IF for the last 6 weeks with the daily 16:8 method. A couple times a week I’ll push to 20:4, and in the last week I’ve been doing cardio in a fasted state. I feel like if I move on too quickly I’m not really dealing with the loss and it just sorta builds in the back ground. At the same time, I…

I’ve been making an effort to lose weight for the past 7 weeks and am making some good progress. Going on vacation next week and am working out whether to continue focusing on weight loss or if I should try to focus on just maintaining so that I can enjoy myself more and not stress about losing weight while exploring the…

I like using a sous vide for low heat cooking... you do need a vacuum sealer as well to make it work... between the two gadgets and a large enough container, you’ll be out about $250-$300... but it makes the best chicken breasts and other fun proteins. The Serious Eats website has a ton of tips for using sous vide methods…

Will do! Right now I’m working through the Beck Diet Solution book, in conjunction with a Diet based on ketogenic foods and intermittent fasting. Getting some pretty good results but definitely looking for a community of support when things get tough, like they are likely to eventually! Thanks for the tag!

One thing I’ve been noticing with eating lighter, is that I’m not eating nearly as much food! One of my motivations is that eating lighter is better for the environment and less expensive. The savings on food have been huge the last month or so I’ve been focusing on mindful eating.
