  • I think high protein diet works well for some people, not so well for others. It's about finding what works the best for you. I prefer a nice balance in carbs, fat and protein. I found that's just what works for me best.
  • Weight loss is about less calories. Your health on the other hand is about right calories. So it's all about that balance :)
  • This is the recipe I always use for tuna sandwich (you can adjust amounts to your liking) 1 can of tuna 1/2 tsp mayo 1 tsp greek yogurt 1 pickel little bit of grated carrot 1/2 tsp mustard salt/pepper Serve on some bread with fresh lettuce and tomatoes! It also goes great on top of some mixed veggies as tuna salad. And if…
  • Some people simply lose weight on a slower rate. Your current lost is pretty good, and if I were you I wouldn't worry about it, and just continued with your plan!
  • What makes you fat is eating more calories than what you burn. Fats, carbs and proteins are all healthy for you when eaten in balance.
  • Good luck with your goals! Your attitude is a great beginning to this journey :) Feel free to add me or message me if you need any help, support or motivation!
  • Welcome to MFP! You can still enjoy all the food and be healthy! It's all about balance :) Make your body and your soul enjoy life! Feel free to add me :)
  • I agree! I love fitnessblender. Their routines are completely free, and there is so many! My favourite are 30 minute workouts for busy people. As others have said, being in calorie deficit will make you lose weight, but exercise is great for your health, and will definetely help with weight loss and getting back in shape.
  • It is genetic yes, but if you lose overall body fat, you will lose cellulite as well. Keep on with cardio, weights (maybe focus a bit more on your legs) and balanced meals and you will see results.
  • Cheat days work for some people, not so well for others. For those that it does work it kind of shocks the body, because it's not used to processing that type or amount of food. The effects are usually not long tho. And there are certain rules you need to follow. I personally would never recommend cheat days, for me it…
  • I'm not sure if MFP has a setting for breastfeeding, so you might be undereating. If I were you, I'd double check somewhere how many calories you need. That might be the reason you're feeling hungry. If you're just starting out I would recommend eating lots of soups. They will fill you up, but are generally lower in…
  • I track everything I eat. It doesn't matter what kind of food it is, calories are still calories. I know some people who constantly eat veggies, and are surprised of their size because they think they eat healthy meals. But when you look at their calories they are constantly way over.
  • I would agree with all of the advices above, but would just like to add that since you don't have a lot of weight to lose it might be a little bit harder. Try aiming to reduce your overall fat percentage, because BMI is sometimes not the best measurement. It's a bit harder to give you a precise advice because you haven't…

  • Welcome to MFP and good luck with your goals! Feel free to add me :)
  • If you are sure you're in calorie deficit, I would advise you to visit your doctor, and do a complete check up. As far as losing 2lbs per week, it's just an estimate and for some people it does not work. We all gain weight, and lose weight differently, at different rates.
  • If you're feeling healthy and satisfied, keep up with your plan.

  • Unless you are following a strict plank designed to bulk you up (including special diet, and workout regime) you shouldn't be afraid of it. Weights and cardio combined will give you best results, and it will not bulk you up.
  • I love chocolate and eat it pretty often, but I only take a little bit, and put the rest away. If you eat balanced meals, incorporate your sweets in your diet, so that you satisfy your craving but don't waste too much calories on it. As far as sugar itself goes, I aim to get most of it from fruits and veggies, I never add…
  • Most of it you can chop up in thin strips and then mix in your salads. Some of the leafy greens you can also mix in soups, pasta and different sauces. Another good way of preparing kale and spinach is to cook it with potatoes and a little bit of garlic, serve with some nice fish.
  • You can log it if you want, but I personally wouldn't eat back the calories.
  • If you are looking for cardio and strenght I would suggest Fitnessblender. They have a youtube channel with different workout routines, and everything is completely free. I personally tried workouts for busy people, which are 30 minute videos, and really loved it.
  • Hello! Feel free to add me! I am a huuuge foodie, but I also like to eat healthy and balanced meals. I share my favourite recipes here on mfp blog http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/GsKiki.
  • Thank you all for great tips :D
  • Try relaxing before sleep. Drink some nice herbal tea (my favourite is mint and chammomile), light some candles, stretch or do some yoga, and do a relaxing activity like reading, or solving crosswords (I enjoy sudoku every night before I go to sleep.). Also you might be eating too close to your bedtime? If the reason is…
  • Planning your meals will definetely help you. If you need ideas, I have some yummy recipes here on mfp blog http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/GsKiki that are all around 300 kcal.
  • I love snacks my self, but you need to be aware why you're eating them. Are you hungry, or are you just bored? If you're bored find something to keep you busy, something you really enjoy. If you're hungry stick to fruits and veggies mostly, and control your portions. For example, take out your portion, and leave the rest…
  • My favourite quinoa is pretty similar to what fotofreak01 said, I just use garlic instead of onions and cook my quinoa in a regular water.
  • Pretty much this... I never heard of people craving meat because of iron deficiency, but if you want to have steak why don't you just eat it?
  • I just weigh my self once a month, and it's usually first Monday. It doesn't really matter tho, if you're following your plan right you will see progress no matter what day of the week you weigh yourself.
  • That is true, but unfortunately people like that do exist...I guess not everyone cares much about what exactly they're buying and eating. I also know from personal experience a lot of people claim they are too busy to check everything, so they just go with the "healthy advertised" option, and think they are eating well…
