I don't really have advice, but good luck! You can do it if you're truly ready. I had a rough drinking problem about 8-10 years ago... functioning alcoholic here as well.

You shouldn't use corn starch if it's still yeasty... bad bad idea ^^ I would just keep the area dry and check on it often.

She needs to see her doctor. I don't have pcos, but i have Hashimotos, the autoimmune disease that causes hypothyroidism. It caused me to gain over 80 lbs. I understand the frustration she's feeling, but she won't be fat and happy, she'll be fat and miserable. I have lost over 60 lbs now, so far, despite all my health…

I agree. Why keto? It can be dangerous. Paleontology is great and sustainable.
-
Yay, friends!! I'm in NC with plans to move to Florida next year!
-
I've been diagnosed with Hashimoto's for over 8 years. I won't go on my whole spiel here, but please, add me. I've had four kids and I've lost 61 lbs so far, and Hashi isn't my only health issue!

Personally, I'd never. For many, it's beneficial. I wouldn't put myself through surgery, that, in my opinion, just forces your to eat less and can cause more harm than good. I've heard horror stories of it and lapband. I have issues with anesthesia. This is something to majorly discuss with your doctor or a few doctors.

You'll find someone. You should lose weight for YOU. No one else. Throughout my relationship with my husband, span of 15 years including when we were just friends, I've ranged from 145-234. And I'm very short. I developed a lot of health issues that caused the gains. A relationship shouldn't be based on how you look or…

Honest question. How would a vegan do paleo? A big part of paleo is meat. I struggle with reaching 1000-1200 cals/day and i use fats and meat. I couldn't imagine not. I'm on the autoimmune paleo, so much more limited.

I lived by this excuse for so long. I paid $8 on Amazon for one well over a year ago and still works perfectly. Haven't even needed to replace the batteries. Also, you should be eating more than 1200 with so little to lose, right? I find the more I lose, the more I need to eat to continue to lose. Best bet, food scale and…

Lots of meat and leafy veggies. My husband is diabetic and he still has some carbs, but about 1/2 servings worth at dinner. I've been doing another specific diet, no grains or potatoes, so personally, i double-triple up on veggies and meats, and cook with coconut oil or bacon grease to get calories and fats up.

I'm on here more than Facebook, lol. Anyone, feel free to add! :)

Friend request sent. I'm following the autoimmune protocol, as I have multiple autoimmune diseases. It's a bit more strict than regular paleo. I've started reintroducing a few foods though. Congrats on your amazing loss, too!!
-
I'd love more friends!! I'm down 60 lbs so far and about 30-40 from where I'd like to be. Clean eater (autoimmune protocol).
-
Hey everyone, please feel free to add me. Daily logger and down 60+ so far.

Truthfully, i didn't even suspect celiac. I just knew something wasn't right with me. Looking back, obviously the malnutrition, the weight retention, bloating, constipation
-
@cecsav1 I've been gluten free for over a year because of celiac disease, so I've already followed near paleo. Lettuce becomes a best friend over breads and wraps :) Rude people don't bother me. AIP is extremely healthy. Yes, its limited, but food has become about healing myself and getting healthier. Food is for…

Because you care so much, right? Think here. If it's an AUTOIMMUNE paleo diet... what may my reasons be? Hmm. Maybe multiple autoimmune diseases? Failure, not so much. When you change your eating habits for your health, you're not setting up for failure. I feel better in these past two weeks than i have my entire adult…

Nothing anymore. I want it badly enough this time.
-
Request sent! Anyone feel free to add me too. I have about 30-40 lb left to go.
-
I have... though I'm not posting publicly, you're welcome to add me or message :) I have PTSD and anxiety/depression stemming from it...
-
I've lost 60 so far. Have about 30-40 left to go. Feel free to add :)

I understand. I get that way. I'm dealing with incredible amounts of stress as well. I force myself to eat when I get shaky. I actually forget to eat until that happens.
-
I'm very close to not being considered medically obese anymore. 6 lbs shy.
-
not anymore, but i do have four kids and tracked everything on here with my youngest. Only gained 6 lbs. This site was definitely helpful.
-
I realized I can wrap a regular sized towel around myself with nothing peeking out lol.

Synthetics are no good. NDT. I've had Hashimotos for 8 years. I'm down 58 lbs so far. I couldn't lose before, but found out i didn't just have hashi, i had celiac disease as well (which actually almost killed me). Once i was diagnosed and gluten free, I've been healing my body and losing weight.
