-

-

-

Ive tried a vegan diet and felt that hunger feeling all the time. I was doing a very healthy diet, mostly plant based (nothing processed), plenty of vegan protein, all the vitamins, adequate calories, was doing everything the right way but animal protein is the only thing that made the hunger feeling in my stomach go away…

Filling up on protein might help.

Rinse first. It is bitter without rinsing. Cooking in broth helps too.

Sugar that is typically resting at 120 is not normal. 120 is normal after you eat but within 2 hours should be lower than that. I suffer with hypoglycemia as well. It seems like this is a symptom of PCOS especially if you are a thin PCOSer.

Sorry, does that mean people that gain weight are eating 3000+ calories. I dunno how it's possible to eat this much. I'm pretty sure I gained weight by eating 2000-2200 calories
-
But I gained weight gradually by eating more and reached to 160. How would implementing eat more be different now.

I eat my oats plan just with almond milk or water if I cook them on the stove top, slower cooker, pressure cooker. So I am asking if eating them plain like this overnight tastes similar or will it make me gag. I guess I will have to try it to find out lol. But thanks for letting me know its better to use rolled oats.

This is what I do, maybe it will help others.. Generally all non starchy veggies have about the same macros. So I picked one bag of frozen vegetables to use to always log my veggies... Cascadian Farm Organic - Chinese Style Stir Fry Blend. 2 cups of any frozen or raw veggies = 50 calories of Cascadian Farm Organic. If you…

Omg Francl27 I did not realize one full plain bagel is 400 calories. Good thing I had it scooped out. I bought something while I was out so could not weight it. The grilled chicken, veggies, dressing is easier for me to estimate but wasn't sure about bagel. Thanks all for the responses.

@singingflutelady What time do you wake up? Do you exercise in the morning or later in the day after eating?
-
She obviously meant 1400-1500 on average per day. Check your vitamins at a Dr's, any deficiency could cause fatigue, low energy. Try adding a little bit more of calories and see if that helps any with the energy. If you feel a difference then you'll know you were under eating.
-
Just wondering, how do you feel when you are hungry ? Is it in your stomach, or you feel tired, light headed, etc? Or just cravings?
-
Can someone show me what they would eat in a typical day for each meal. Because I am trying to stay at 1500 calories and I can only manage up to 80-85g of protein. I just don't have the appetite for any more protein and I don't know how to squeeze in more.
-
Even if it's considered a "fad" , eat more protein is what's recommended by drs as well. I have a low energy/low sugar issue and I lost count of how many Dr's told me to eat more protein. I don't even know what that means .. how much is "more". And I can't imagine it is healthy to make your liver and kidneys process large…

1 gram of protein per pound of weight is a lot. If I weight 150 lbs, I find it hard to believe that I require 150g, and what about people that weight 180 or more? Over consumption of protein I believe could be taxing on the liver and kidneys.
-
Thanks all for the responses. I've come to the conclusion that I am going to try to aim for at least 100g of protein to help me with my energy. I usually eat anywhere between 60-80, occasionally 90. Do you all feel like eating within a higher range helps you with energy through out the day and endurance during exercising ?…
-
For those that are eating more than 100g, how did you come up with that number as the amount necessary. That seems like a lot of protein and almost impossible to fit into a daily diet unless you are eating a very high calorie diet. I remember reading that your body can only use 30g per every couple of hours and rest is…

I have just recently adopted this rule also. I try to eat healthy but at same time make sure it is something I actually enjoy instead of struggling through something I hate.
-
Do you eat yogurt, etc before the work out or after?
-
^ That is true, could be a vitamin deficiency also. But make sure you have your vitamins tested at the Drs before supplementing because some vitamins have a limit and having too much causes side effects.
-
YES lol thats how I feel, I am so sick of chicken and tuna
-
Are you sure this is low blood pressure? It could be low blood sugar. See if having a snack makes the dizziness better if yes then most likely your sugar is running low, and maybe you need to be eating more. Check with your Dr.
-
What kind of exercising do you do ? And what sources do you use for all that protein ? If you were to eat less than 120 do you feel less energy, hungry, etc?
-
It doesn't clump up? I remember readings somewhere people have issues with protein being gritty or clumpy in their coffees.
-
Just wondering which protein do you have with your coffee? Does it give it a weird taste?
