I ran a mile. I haven't done that in... maybe since high school? It took 10 minutes, which is way slower than back then, but it still feels like a great...milestone.

So, I am back on C25K again. One of the things that I am trying to do this time around is make it so that my 30 minute run is actually 5k when I get there. ....Which means I set the treadmill at 6mph. I had previously been jogging at around 4. I haven't read this advice before, and maybe I am making a mistake with that. I…

Fear is one of the things I've struggled with most in my adult life. Not just with exercise and health, but with everything. The quote I've used for years now is Frank Herbert's Litany Against Fear: I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. It is the little death that brings total annihilation. I will face my fear. I will…

I haven't actually made it to the store yet, since I didn't want to shop on the Holiday weekend, and have been doing PB because I already have it. (Working great, btw. Awesome suggestion) I do plan to look out for the single serve Greek yogurt. I can carry that in to my desk and add it to my regular oatmeal breakfast. That…

Thank you for all of these tips. This morning I went for PB on toast, but I think I'm going to start picking up some protein bars. The other thing about grabbing a piece of fruit to go with the standard oatmeal sounds like a good easy plan too.

Those are some great ideas. PB is something that I hadn't even considered (I don't know why) I have to admit, I have no idea what IF, IMF, keto, and MCT are. I mean, I'm googling them now, but just FYI, that's how much of a newb I am here.

Thanks for the input. I'm not at all set on breakfast like food, so the sandwich idea isn't bad. But cooking is just out. Your breakfast sounds good, but is more work than I am willing to put in most mornings. :)

People, in general, treat you better. I find it depressing, but it's true.

You look awesome, and I love the poses.

Yes. I didn't really binge, but I was getting no exercise and eating a lot. By BMI I hit severely obese. I'm down to obese now. So, I was definitely eating a lot (and drinking a lot of soda and beer) but I didn't go on binges. Just an overall unhealthy lifestyle.

I've heard that people often put on weight at the beginning. I gained 4 pounds before I started losing. Just think of it as part of the process. It was the first hurdle, and you've already cleared it.

I'm not smart enough to figure out how to edit the post, so I will just add on dates: 4/4: 259.6 4/11: 257.8 4/18: 257.4 4/26: 257.2 5/4: 255.8 5/9: 254.0 EDIT: So I have the edit gear on this post, but it also has a timer. I guess you can only edit within an hour of posting? Is that right? Also an EDIT: I never put in my…

Sure. I've been trying to lose weight since Thanksgiving, and started at 284. My goal has been to get under 240 (no longer Obese) by 9/22 (My birthday) Anyway, my WI day is Monday, so I'll backfill from past data: 4/4: 259.6 4/11: 257.8
