I personally hate veggies. ALL veggies. My only exception is cauliflower crust pizza. Contrary to my parents' belief, I have not withered from scurvy or malnourishment. I have an open diary, feel free to add me if you want to peek through it.

I supposed I should have added that I'm already a T2 diabetic. Thanks everyone for your insight. It's something I plan on discussing with my OB

Thank you @Dragonwolf Exactly the type of feedback I was hoping for!

Feel free to add me, I have an open diary and am always open to new friends!

Feel free to add me, robink228. My profile is private but I post some of my experiments making LC Pinterest recipes (in reality though I post more cat pictures than I do of LC food, lol.) I don't have any spammy stuff nor am I a "insta-famous" person promoted by low carb companies (i.e., Quest, ex.)

Feel free to add me, I've been LC since January with an open diary.

Mine's open...helps hold me accountable. If I'm ashamed to log it, I probably shouldn't eat it.

Feel free to add me. I'm always open to new friends and have an open diary. Best of luck to you!

Best of luck in your journey, you CAN do this! I'm 1 month shy of my 39th birthday (or 18th year celebrating my 21st...). I started at 260 lbs. (my heaviest was my wedding in Feb. 2015) and have lost a little over 70 lbs. since September (LC since January). My goal weight is to have a healthy BMI as calculated by my…

I also have PCOS and newly diagnosed as a diabetic. Since the end of September 2015, I've lost a little over 70 lbs. My tip is to listen to your body; what works for others may not work for you. You can do this! Best of luck!

Personally, I feel, the use of artificial sweeteners is a personal choice. I use them, albeit sparingly, but I do use them. I felt overwhelmed at first, especially getting bombarded with "sweeteners are the devil" replies on the sites I read. So, I did my own research and found that both Stevia and Splenda (yes, I saw the…

Ditto on the chicken broth. Unsweetened applesauce but most importantly water.

I've never been a coffee fan but wanted an alternative to water. I started with flavored teas (usually something with coconut, caramel or cocoa) a packet of Splenda or stevia and a tbsp. of heavy whipping cream. Once I got used to the taste, then I moved onto Americanos from Starbucks with sugar free syrups. Now I don't…

Feel free to add me. I try to stay under 20 net carbs a day.

I just ranted about this the other day, I so feel your pain. I keep individual cheese slices in my pocket (not the Kraft American Cheese but little cheddar slices made by Land O'Lakes.) Do not, however, make the mistake of putting Babybel in your scrubs pocket because the wax covering will melt and get over everything!…

I lived in Sarasota, FL for the last 20 years. I'm too much of a pessimist for all this sunshine and heat. I want the mountains and trees when I retire!

I wonder if instead of the canned soup you sub heavy whipping cream, some chicken broth. and a little bit of garlic powder. Then toss a few mushrooms (if you still want them) in a food processor. I know the garlic powder can be a little carb heavy but a little goes a long way. The mushrooms aren't too bad if you count "net…

Great link! Thanks for posting.

Thank you for posting! This was very interesting to read.

I recently read this bodyfatguide.com/LooseSkin.htm, which talks about excess skin after weight loss. Is this similar to what you read? I'm always leery about the stuff I read online because I'm so gullible. Edited to add: The guy has a really creepy pic of himself on his site, so that made me even more leery, lol.

That's fantastic! 2.5 minutes is better than no minutes! I attempted using an elliptical and lasted less than 2 minutes before I had to use my rescue inhaler (asthma). So I stick to walking on the treadmill and rowing. Maybe a Couch to 5k is in your future?

I have Type 2 Bipolar Disorder as well as Generalized Anxiety Disorder and had a lengthy discussion with my psychiatrist regarding my medication and a lower carb lifestyle. She pointed me to an abstract published regarding a Ketogenic "diet" and mood stablizing success. Here's a link:…

Awesome! That's fantastic. Keep us updated on how the A1C is! My appointment is about 1 month after yours so I'm curious to see how much your A1C goes down!

I've been to the movies twice since eating lower carbs. I've brought in pepperoni packs, cheese sticks, turkey sticks and usually a Sparkling Ice which helps keep me away from the fizzy sodas. My husband pays for popcorn and a soda so I feel justified by bringing my own food in, lol. He's good and gets soda that he knows I…

I would totally read that, it sounds like it would be super helpful! I can cook, I'm just usually too tired after work (I'm a nurse) and too lazy to go to the store and buy seven gazillion ingredients that will most likely expire before I use them again. I usually look for recipes on Pinterest that don't have a lot of…

I had this pinned on my Pinterest board but haven't made it yet. It looks fantastic!
