  • I just got mine about a month ago. It says "Philippians 4:13" which means "I can do all things through God who strengthens me". It's a meaningful tattoo to me, because I believe God gave me the strength to lose over 100LBS.
  • Let me know what you all think. I exercise 5 days a week combining both cardio and weight training. My diet consists of under 20G carbs, with lean meats (chicken, turkey) tuna, and veggies such as spinach and broccoli. I know I must include more sources of fat, so I would love some recommendations. I'm going to keep my…
  • Awesome. Thank you so much. I'll update you in a few weeks and let you know how it's going! Thank you all for your help!!
  • I appreciate it sir!! My TDEE is calculated between 2600-2700. What would you recommend I eat for calories to achieve 2LBS fat loss per week?
  • That sounds amazing haha. Of course my ultimate goal is to achieve a toned stomach with a 6 pack, aiming that for sometime in December. I appreciate all of the help and support, it really means a lot!!
  • Will I lose a lot of muscle though? I lift weights 5 days a week, and I feel as if my body would take the calories from the fat and not my muscles because I have such a large amount of fat. Of course I'm no scientist so I could be wrong, so correct me and give me any tips. I'm all ears, just looking to improve!
  • Unfortunately I am overweight because my body fat percentage is somewhere between the 18-20 range. Personally, I lift to maintain my muscle, not to build it. My goal is to lose as much fat at whatever costs, and then learn how to take care of my body and build muscle. I've been overweight my whole life, and the loss of…
  • I'm 6'3 212. It seems like it's a very extreme diet, but I'm trying my hardest to lose as much fat as I can. I want to lose as much fat as possible in the next 2 months, and it seems the gradual approach won't get me where I want.
  • Yeah that was my goal, to go into ketosis so my body would burn fat. You're right about the calories though, that is most likely why I don't have the energy I need. I'm just doing as much as I can to lose fat.
  • That's my view as well! They are also low carb, and I am on a low carb diet. I just recently read that they can supposedly lead to bloating and aren't good for you.
  • Yeah I understand. I was hoping that by working out constantly and eating adequate protein that I could retain some muscle while losing fat.
  • Yeah it's probably me haha. I've lost over 100 pounds over the course of a year. I'm still overweight though and still have a lot of stomach fat that I just need to lose and it's killing me. It's just depressing because I want to enjoy the beach and hang with friends, but my appearance isn't where I want it to be, and it…
  • Of course not haha. However, I never did a "bulking" stage, so I don't have muscle to lose. I always used weight lifting as a form of exercise, but never took it to build muscle. My whole life I've been overweight, and all I want is to be able to feel good and enjoy life and the summer and the beach. That's why I've been…
  • My average was 1,505.
  • It's definitely been tough for me. I have a lot of fat to burn, so I believe that a slightly larger deficit wouldn't hurt me as much. I have a size 38 waist, so I'm guessing my BFP is around 19-20. I would like to lose as much fat as I can, so I figured creating a deficit would work better. Averaging around 1400-1800…
  • Thank you all!
  • Thank you very much! It means a lot!!
  • Okay thank you! Is eating the 1500 calories bad tho? I've been able to stick to it, and am seeing results on the scale each week. Can I continue eating 1500 for a quicker fat loss do you believe?
  • What do you recommend I do? It's hard for me because I always seem to hear different things, and I end up being stressed and confused and free balling it.
  • My goal is to lose a lot of fat. I'm currently 214, 6'3, and near 19-20% body fat. I want to lose as much fat as possible, and then learn to maintain my weight or possibly begin to bulk and build muscle. I'm a gym rat, and always looking for ways to improve my self. I've just come to a point where I'm not happy with the…
  • Is my deficit too large do you believe? I'm eating anywhere from 1450-1500 daily. I just want to lose my fat as quick as possible, and i figure a higher deficit would work to lose it.
  • I've been able to stick to this deficit where I'm eating only 1500 calories. I enjoy it, only issue is my strength training suffers a bit. But if my goal is to lose fat, is this too severe of a deficit? People say I'm doing more harm than good.
  • I want it more than anything and am willing to do whatever it takes. I'm up all night constantly doing research on how I can achieve this feat and better myself.
  • What do you recommend I do?
  • Is a ketogenic diet good do you believe?
  • I've been eating clean for over 4 months, and will continue you it after and during the vacation. I just want to ramp it up these next 8 weeks to get better results.
  • My main concern is just to lose fat. I've been big my whole life, and now just want to be able to enjoy the beach and summer time. That's why I'm currently not too concerned about losing muscle. Im hoping to lose all my fat, then learn how to add on more mass once I get to the point where I don't have a lot of stomach fat.
  • Thank you so much for all your help! I am in the gym 6 days a week and always working out with heavy weights. Is it possible that I could still keep some lean body mass and lose fat if I continue to eat 1500 calories? Or do I need to increase my calories? I'm just worried if I increase my calories, I will gain fat along…
  • Ok thank you! What would be the best approach for the next 8 weeks? I'm willing to do whatever it takes to lose this stomach fat and look better overall.
  • I lost a ton of water weight when I cut my carbohydrate intake to under 20. When I did this, I saw my weight drop anywhere from 3-5 pounds. It then started to slow down after about 3 weeks and that is the stage I am at now.
