  • My son's left knee is all road rash from a bike spill he took last week and he says that swimming feels the best on his knee of all the activities he does. He's 10 so sitting still really isn't an option for him. He says once he starts to move around a bit it feels better but swimming is the best.
  • I just recently dropped close to 30 lbs and I'm still in the same size. The clothes are lose but the size down doesn't quite fit just yet. I probably also should've been in a bigger size to start but I couldn't bring myself to buy the bigger clothes.
  • We eat cheese and crackers with salami and fruits in the summer when it's too hot to eat anything else. It seems to do the trick and then maybe a freeze pop or ice cream after
  • I'm pretty sure Map My Run estimates your calorie burn during activities and adds the calories you would've normally burned doing nothing so so it will always be a little higher. I wouldn't eat back 100% of the map My Run calories but maybe half
  • I have the Argus app installed on my Apple Watch and that is where I can set a step goal. It isn't something that I care about but I set it a few years ago on my phone and now it pops up on my watch.
  • I had to do the same thing. I just couldn't start and stop so I would just increase the distance a little each time.
  • I'm 5' 8" and I'd need to be down to 130-135 to get in a size 10.
  • My first 10k back in 2014 was 1:22 so I think your time is great. I haven't done another since but I signed up to do the same one again this year and my goal is 1:15.
  • I made a magnesium spray and use that on my legs almost every night. It helps with the leg cramps and the restless leg syndrome. That is almost more annoying because it never goes away.
  • JIFF makes individual servings. Not sure if that would help but you could eat one and be done.
  • Is that from like a strain? I pulled something this morning and I was told it is the tendon, just above the ankle, in the back on the inside. It wasn't too bad earlier but it is starting to hurt more as my day is going.
  • I have been going through the stress myself lately but I am the opposite, I have to remind myself to eat or I will go all day without.
  • I was thinking the same. My bowl from Chipotle is 1 serving of rice, chicken, corn and tomato salsa, and cheese and the calories come to about 520 (or close to that).
  • My local Trek bike shop gives free clinics on basic bike maintenance and rules of the road. You might want to see if something like that is available to you. They also do group rides for all levels. You might be able to find a beginner ride and that could help with figuring out the gears and any other questions you have…
  • Do you have a fitness tracker that can sync with MFP? I am never sure of my speed when I walk/run but my apple watch or map my run will send MFP an average and log from there.
  • The caffeine keeps me up at night, so for me it is not great, but it has never stopped me from losing weight
  • I'd do a walk on the days you're not working out. It gives me the motivation to keep going and not skip a second or third day.
  • How old are the kids? Can you put them in a stroller or have them bike along with you for a walk? We have a close park and while mine plays I can walk the track. He's older though so I can get away with that.
  • I actually found that once I cut down on the caffeine I started sleeping better and now have so much more energy. I'm sure that doesn't help but just a suggestion.
  • Every morning after getting out of bed and using the bathroom.

  • I add mayo, pickles and red onions to my tuna but I eat it from the bowl using chips as my spoon. Usually sour cream and onion or bbq Lays for the chip spoons. I do the same with my egg salad but I don't add pickles.
  • It is crazy hot right now outside here but I still went out for a walk. I just went and got it over with. I do kind of like the warmer weather though so it wasn't too hard. I just brought some extra water
  • Can you go into the fitness app and record a workout as other to get the minutes to goal? I have never tried that but I know that even if I am at a slower walk with a lower heart rate I feel like it still records the minutes.
  • I like my cookbooks enough but I also love checking out Pinterest and printing recipes and making my own binder cookbook. I keep the pages loose until I try a recipe and if the recipe is a success I will put it in a clear sleeve and add it to the binder.

  • I usually have about 30-50 grams of air popped popcorn at night for the crunchy snack. I always preferred no butter or oil or any toppings so I am able to eat more than if I had the toppings on. I make a huge bowl and just snack on it all night.
  • I weigh all of my meats raw unless there is an option for cooked on the package. Last night I had ground chicken as part of my meal but since I was cooking for the family I used the cooked weight option so I could just weigh out my portion after it was cooked.
  • There should be 'other' as an option and after the workout is done it will give you option on how you want to record the workout. I have a few dvds that I use and I record it as other in the app and then have it named mixed cardio.
  • I just recently went to a running store and got fitted for shoes and that helped so much.
  • I have 2 cups of coffee in the morning and maybe a diet coke during the day. The diet coke has to be around lunch time because for me caffeine will keep me up at night. Too much caffeine will keep me up at night so I have to be careful with how much and when I drink it.
  • I am losing about 2lbs per week right now. I am going to (try) and keep it that way for another 20lbs and then slow it down a bit. I have quite a bit to lose at this point so I feel like 2 lbs right now is good for me.
